Spread: Full Moon in Aries
Fanning the flame that clears the path

The Full Moon in Aries (3º Aries 37’) arrives on September 26 at 12:49PM EDT, and I’ve got a tarot spread / oracle card layout for you to welcome its light.

Fuel: Where have I let my intuition gently guide me that my instincts wouldn’t go?
Magical peak: How can I celebrate what I’ve completed to keep charging ahead?
Purging: What latest passion is just a flash in the pan?
Clear mirror: How do I use bold action to avoid dealing with what I can’t face?
Dancing luminaries: What does anger teach me about my capacity for love?

Like all my moon spreads, this uses a five-card cross as the basis, with a trajectory in the middle and an above and below. If you’re curious about how to read that, let me know. I’ve got a popular article about it.

If you’re into these moon spreads, I’ve got 26 of them in my Libra-appropriate, aesthetically pleasing ebook, The Hermit’s Book of Moon Spreads. You should consider getting it so that you have all the spreads close at hand, along with other goodies like affirmations by zodiac sign for each lunation and some tips on astrology and reading these spreads.

And if you’re curious about what into this spread but don’t want the ebook (it’s i

“How do I show up in my relationship?”

Princess, I’ve got good news and bad news. Or rather, the Maiden from Kim Krans’s @the_wild_unknown Archetypes has good news and bad news.

I’m adding to my series on one-card readings with actual one-card readings to help demonstrate the power and pitfalls of one-card readings. We’re starting this series off with a question around love and relationships.

I write about why the question may or may not work for a one-card reading, and why this deck is able to provide a card with such a rich response, as well as different ways to interpret it.

And if you missed the earlier parts to the series, you can easily catch up! Everything is linked.

Cheers to the Page of Cups! Exploring the spirit realms, experimenting with emotional expressions, and learning all about how we connect at the soul level. A literal soul searcher perhaps?

Awaken the court cards! Get to know the Page of Cups.

Do you have any of these decks? Any favorites among these Pages? 😍

You know I love my Linestrider Alice/Dorothy amalgam 🐇 And the rabbit is an elemental nod (for me) to her elemental complement, the Queen of Pentacles!

Tarot 311: Reading People will be starting later this fall, but it’s part of this season’s slate of courses in multimodal divination that start on Monday. So excited! (You can also learn more about the court cards from my book Awaken the Court Cards.)

Sometimes it’s the little things that get you. It’s true in so many arenas of life: material and spiritual. Lessons from a workout injury resonate with why I teach multimodal divination the way I do. And there’s probably some good insight into how any one of us can get better at what we love.

It’s a long-form story, so you won’t find it here. by @hermitsmirror

I know I talk hella fast in this one, so I am posting the divinatory workout down below.

This one is for power/focus, but I have another one for speed/flexibility. If you want that one, just DM me. I’ll send you the link to the post with it.

Divinatory Workout 1 (Power/Focus):
Pull 1 card/rune/charm/etc. and study it for 1 minute.

Place it face-down and try to recreate it as best you can—in your mind’s eye, on paper, in description. Name whatever you can, including its title and number, if any. Take no more than 2 minutes.

Now take 1 minute to study it again. A full minute. I know, if it’s a rune, it’s probably going to be a long minute, but that’s okay. You’re connecting with it.

Place it face-down and read the guidebook entry for it or another helpful reference about that card/rune/charm/etc.

Read it again.

Put the guidebook away and turn the card/etc. face-up. Record as much as you can remember from the guidebook or other helpful reference. Take no more than 2 minutes.

Now take 1 minute to study the card/rune/charm one last time. A full minute.

Place it face-down and try to recreate what it means to you as best you can. Name whatever you want that was there visually, including its title and number, if any, but don’t stop there. Include things that are meaningful to you about it—seen or unseen but understood. Take however long you want.

This is the kind of exercise I’ll be encouraging you to do between sessions of Tarot 101 or Divination 101 (I would use different exercises for Astrology 101).

Also, the Semester of Divination has intermediate and advanced classes too if you’re beyond the basics. by @hermitsmirror
