I knew pain can be physical. Mental. I knew it can be emotional too. But recently, I learned that pain can also be spiritual. I know this because losing my baby sister Bella three months ago has brought a lasting agony unlike anything I’ve felt before. Big brothers are supposed to protect their baby sisters. And being unable to protect you from the inevitability of growing old is something I’ll carry with me forever. I would have gladly given up years of my life for just a few more days of yours. 19 years wasn’t nearly enough time with you. I hope I see you again someday.
