Tanglewood is amazing but also a lot, I had to literally stop myself from going there every day. Because there’s still a full-time job, the gym, groceries, my cat, family, friends, the kids of people I love, and this page.

And somehow you still hear it. That you don’t really get tired or busy until you’re a mom.

Can we stop with that?

Women give. A lot. To their work, their people, their animals, their dreams. Every single day. With or without kids. We all deserve to recharge.

Jars lined up, herbs drying, no man’s shoes cluttering the hallway, my apartment is my main place, my sanctuary. The garden house is where I disappear to for weeks each summer, but this weekend I felt it: tired, laundry piling up, still figuring out if living between two places actually works for me. It’s a massive privilege, having both, but it also splits your focus in ways that aren’t always romantic.

Follow along if you want proof that you can build a life entirely on your own terms, two “homes” no rules but your own, and still no man’s shoes by the door.

Today I sowed my foxglove seeds at Tanglewood.
Someone called me a spinster in the comments, and honestly, I took it as a compliment.

The longer I have Tanglewood, the more I learn that a garden isn’t really meant to be tamed. She has her own spirit, just like we do. 🦔

Now that summer is coming to an end, I suddenly feel inspired to create again. I love warmth, but somehow the extreme heat this summer put everything into a protective mode. The nature, the garden, and me included.

Now there is room to breathe, to work, to read, to create, and to pour more of myself into this little corner of the internet. And somehow, the inspiration comes naturally with it.

I’ve harvested my first tomatoes, sown foxglove seedlings, and tried to make a few lists in preparation for winter. I’m much more of a follow my intuition kind of woman, but I also want to help the garden wherever I can.

And honestly, I’m already looking forward to October. Red wine, hot chocolate, good books, my little garden house, and the feeling of building a life entirely on my own terms.

Here’s to women creating lives that feel like their own.

This little garden exists to help each other too, not just to grow things. A matriarchy isn’t about hierarchy or bloodlines, it’s about the women who hold space, share what they know, and show up without being asked twice.

Most of you can’t actually be here with your hands in the dirt with me, but I like to picture us that way anyway, gathered around the same table, same soil.
