I got to go to the Sundance Film Festival for its last year in Park City, UT with my best friend @marshizzle44, celebrating our shared love of movies! We got to see 8 films that were (mostly) bangers, sightsee locations from the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, ride a funicular to the St. Regis for some hot cocoa, see a moose, and listen to some cool people. It was incredible to hear filmmakers talk about how much they love to make art, especially now that everything feels stupid and manufactured. It felt so special to be there, and I couldn’t have asked for a better travel companion!

*Long, sad post incoming*

This is about a year and a half late, but for good reason. I guess I was never really ready to talk about it until now. When I first met my ex @edpazu 6 years ago, I also met his dog, Lincoln. From that point on, I knew that dog was special. He was smart, and playful, and cuddled by nuzzling his head on your chest and collapsing on top of you with his full weight. We bonded immediately; he followed me everywhere and helped me believe that I was, in fact, worthy of love. This dog eventually began to mean the world to me, and even after Ed and I’s breakup, I got to walk and play and cuddle with him every weekend.

He survived cancer and having his leg amputated. He was given 3 months to live, and despite those odds, he lived another 3.5 years before passing away peacefully.

Lincoln was so special to us. So much so that if you ever go to @musicboxchicago, you’ll find a seat dedicated to him, H6. With this dedication, I hope the world sees how special he was, and the power he had to make you believe in unconditional love.

If you ever end up in seat H6 at the Music Box, make sure to tell Lincoln he’s a good boy, and that his daddies love him very much.
