Honestly hard to believe this is the same bathroom 🙈

We reworked the entire layout, added a curbless shower, and turned a pretty dated space into something way more functional and clean. I hope my wife doesnt see this or my bathroom will be next. 🤣

With a baby on the way, it was such an honour to be trusted renovating this bathroom. Now our clients have a spa like space to unwind, after a long day.

But do you really believe this is the same bathroom? 💭

Well… technically, it is. 😎

Hersky Homes came into this house with one goal: let this cramped little bathroom finally breathe. Demo day was a little tight, but once we knocked down the wall beside an under-used closet, we finally had a blank canvas to work with.

From there we used @suzannekrytondesigns mood board and brought the homeowners’ vision to life. They now have a new space they're so proud of and cant wait to show off to their friends. 😬

And the best part is... this is only 1 of 3 bathrooms we renovated in the same house. 🫣

Believe it or not, we had no designer on this project. The home owner designed it herself. 🤯

What do we think of this mid century modern full bathroom remodel? 👀

Lately I’ve been coming home from work… to work. 😂🔨

Turns out owning a construction company AND renovating your own house is a great way to completely eliminate your free time. 😅

We're officially in the finishing stages which means we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Honestly we just can’t wait to brush our teeth by side for the first time in our relationship 🤣 #hisandhers

We had such a pinch me moment today looking at everything coming together and thought — holy shit we couldn’t have done this without our designer Celeste @formandfunctiondesignco .. The vision is really coming to life 🥹

Vanity: @teodorvanities (bonus: they’re 🇨🇦!)
Contractor: @herskyhomes
Flooring: @divineflooring
Floor Install: @floorange.ca

I mean at least he’s polite about it? 🤪

The best part is this is 0% scripted 🤣.. I was trying to record our colour choices together today and Mark was just being Mark.

It’s actually gotten to the point now where our designer @formandfunctiondesignco doesn’t even address him in our emails bc he never replies 🤣

EIGHT WEEK UPDATE! 🔨 👉🏻

It’s wild to think we’ve only been reno-ing the house for 8 weeks because it feels like a lifetime for us 🤣

As of today, we’ve passed all inspections, the big two-storey window is out and drywall is up!

Swipe through + read each update caption 🥳

Yesterday we had our neighbours come out to start getting the driveway prepped! We’re repouring the pad much larger and so it slopes away from the house 🏠

Drywall dayyyyy! It’s so exciting to see our vision actually coming to life after living with just studs and rough-ins for weeks lol

Our little oasis while the rest of the house is in shambles 🤪 and yes, we’re living here as thankfully the basement is finished.

Primary prep work so we can get it drywalled next!

Imagine a built in here for linen and storage 🥰

Getting the house painted was also a MASSIVE day as it changed how everything felt. This was part of the original vision (aka non-negotiable) when we bought it to up the curb appeal.

Crazy to think this was just 4 weeks into our renovation! Now we’re waiting on custom windows to come in pretty darn soon 🤩

It was literally all hands on deck to turn this sunroom into our future primary bedroom 😆

They blew my mind and broke very little glass, and if they did it was intentional.

The kitchen plans!

Less than two weeks into our renovation we started the deck so we’d have a sanctuary to escape to while we renovate the entire main floor

🐶

Gates going in so that Benny doesn’t think he also owns the entire park 🤣

We lived with holes in the floor for weeeeeeks and grateful they’re patched and soon flooring will be in!

Grateful for best friends who come to the rescue and demote me from window removal after gashing my leg 😬 oops..

Our spacious half bathroom! We choose this spot because it was awkward dead space and there were no proper bathrooms on the main floor when we bought it.

We framed this to the beam and existing wall on the right to make it feel intentional

Mark is very proud of all the fencing 😆

Backing onto a park has been a god-send to say the least

This week’s progress on 👉🏻 the DECK! 🥳 It’s 99% done, just missing some handrail, stair lights and some skirting 🥰

At first it was comically big, but with a sofa, dining area and sun loungers — it’s literally perfect 🤩👌🏻

Swipe through to see what the future end goal / vision is for the outdoor space 🙈 + how we’re planning on painting the house 👀

PS. If you’re looking for a deck @herskyhomes no longer takes on those projects (outside of his own house) but he has a great referral 😎

One skill I didn’t think you needed to be a contractor.. but clearly Mark has mastered it 🤣🤣🤣

But in all seriousness, this means we’re getting so close to having a FREAKIN’ deck 🙈🤩 whiiiich.. will also be our future dining room because Mark’s ready to rip out the kitchen next week 🤪

This week’s progress 👉🏻 on the… PRIMARY BEDROOM 👀 Did you realize that we’re turning the sunroom into our bedroom yet?! 🙊🙈

Swipe through and read each caption for an update!

This is the view from the bed — the window and sliding door on the right are being removed and the windows on the left are being replaced.

This opening will be framed in with a door to.. our ENSUITE!

On the left, a tub will go under the window, a vanity on the back wall. On the right, we have the water closet framed in and the pony wall for the shower 🚿

Same room, but opposite view with the water closet on the right and the shower on the left

This is the view from the hallway and the door on the right will lead into the laundry and walk-in closet.
