I am sickened over this.

I pray everyday that I’m doing the right things, instilling the right things, saying the right things.

Who they hang out with matters.

I pray he grows up and will be the defender of the weak, know right from wrong and never be silent, complicit etc in situations he has no business being in.

I pray for the victim of Cornell & I pray for justice for her.

Thinking about the world I grew up in makes me sad.

It doesn’t exist anymore.

Becoming a parent has a way of making you look at your own childhood differently.

Not because our parents did everything wrong, but because the world our children are growing up in is different from the one we grew up in.

We can honor what was good, question what wasn’t, and choose to do things differently when we know better.

We don’t have to repeat every tradition, reaction, or parenting style simply because it’s what we experienced.

We get to take the good, break the cycles, and create something new.

Our children don’t need the childhood we had.
They need the childhood they need now. 🫶🏻

I can’t put into words enough, how thankful I am for both of my boys.

I never wanted to be a boy mom, but God had better plans for me.

I don’t take being these boy’s Mama lightly and I’m so beyond blessed each and every day.

A praying mom is a strong mom.

Some days I have all the answers, and some days I have nothing but a prayer. 🤍 And honestly, I’ve learned that a prayer can be enough to bring peace back into my heart.

Not sure who needs to hear it, but you’re doing a great job 🤍

It’s okay if it’s not all perfect, if your life isn’t everything you imagined, if there chaos in the mix.

You’re exactly where you are meant to be.

Everyday. Everyday I thank God for my boys.

For their love, I was a lost soul, a broken hearted human who didn’t know how much I needed them.

Thankful is an understatement.

We don’t always get to pick our kids friends, but if we can teach them what true friendship is, maybe we can guide them in the right direction.

And I always pray MY boys are the friends others wish to have 🤍

Be happy in front of your kids.

Not because life is always easy, and not because you have to hide the hard days—but because they are watching you learn how to live.

Let them see you laugh at the little things.
Dance in the kitchen.
Sing in the car.
Get excited about a beautiful sunset.
Be grateful for a slow morning.
Find joy in the ordinary.

Because one day, they’ll grow up and carry with them the things they watched us do. And I hope when they think back on childhood, they don’t just remember what we gave them or where we took them.

I hope they remember a mama who was genuinely happy to be there.🤍

My boys are chaos, they are wild, they are free spirited.

But we have a bond that I’ll never be able to explain.

The ways boys love their mamas is something I don’t think can be explained.

The kindness, the way they show love in giving rocks or flowers, the slobbery kisses, the way they hold on to your for dear life..

Little do they know, I’m holding on just as tight.

I do not owe everyone the same version of me.

I will protect my little family at all costs and if it doesn’t serve us, it’s gone.

Sometimes it’s the simplest things us mamas need😂

For me, it’s the dinner thing, only because I come up with meals my toddlers act like I’m torturing them with, only to then serve up something completely different 😅

My mom is my superhero.

I look back at all the little AND big moments, the simple things like the burnt toast or all the big things that I never knew meant more.

Being a mom, I see these now as little sacrifices, although to a mom it doesn’t feel like a sacrifice.

It feels like a blessing getting to do the things we do for our kids.

Still, I’m thankful for my mother everyday and pray my kids one day say they grew up knowing I’d have done anything for the🤍
