Sexual violence may be committed by individuals, but prevention is a community responsibility.

Responsibility doesn’t have to be identical for responsibility to exist. Whether you caused harm, witnessed something concerning, had an opportunity to intervene, or are part of an institution responsible for creating a safe environment—the question remains:

At what point does somebody interrupt the harm?

That’s what community accountability looks like.

Furniture isn’t the only thing we assemble around here… 👻🎃

This Queen called us in to help bring spooky season to life — all as a surprise for her two daughters! 🖤

From a giant skeleton and Grim Reaper to tombstones, creepy crawlers and enough cobwebs to make the neighbors wonder what happened over here 😂, we transformed the front yard just in time for Halloween.

At Queen of Assembly, we don’t just assemble your furniture. We help you put the pieces together for the moments that make home feel special and yes, that includes your favorite holiday décor. 👑

Because sometimes the best surprise is coming home to a whole graveyard in your front yard. 💀😂

Spooky season is officially loading… 🎃👻

👑 Two dressers. One happy client. One productive Monday.

This Queen of Assembly project was all about making things a little easier for a mom and her family.

✨ A 6-drawer dresser assembled for her baby girl

✨ A 9-drawer dresser assembled for her master bedroom

She found Queen of Assembly on TikTok, took a chance on a newer small business, and I’m so glad she did! From scheduling to assembly, this was such an easy and efficient project. I came in, got to work, and made sure both pieces were assembled properly and ready to use.

And that 5-star review?! 🥹👑 Hearing that she appreciated the professionalism, communication, and quality of my work means everything.

Thank you, Christina, for trusting Queen of Assembly in your home and supporting a small Black woman-owned business. 💚

Need something assembled without spending your whole weekend staring at an instruction manual? Call the Queen. 👑🛠️

We didn’t start this project…but we were determined to help finish it. 👑🛠️

@king_of_mounts was called in to help a client complete a wall installation that had been started but unfortunately wasn’t completed in the right order. With the wall panels already installed before the wiring was properly concealed, getting everything finished meant a little extra problem-solving, patience, and teamwork.

And when extra hands were needed? @queenofassembly came through. 👑🤝🏾👑

Because that’s what small business entrepreneurship looks like sometimes—collaborating, figuring it out, and getting the job DONE.

King of Mounts handled the technical installation while Queen of Assembly assisted with getting the space back together and helping bring the project across the finish line.

There are still a few finishing touches to go, but the biggest win? A relieved and satisfied client who could finally see her vision coming together. 🙌🏾

We may not have started it…but we helped save the day and FINISH it.

PART 2: Now it’s the Princess’ turn. 👑🤎

Same family. Same goal. Completely different style.

While her brother went with something more modern, their daughter knew exactly what she wanted: VINTAGE. ✨

Rich wood tones, classic details, antique-inspired hardware and plenty of storage turned a whole lotta pieces and hardware 😩😂 into this gorgeous statement desk.

And THAT is what I love about creating spaces for families. Your room should feel like you; whether your style is modern, vintage, bold, minimal or somewhere in between.

Two siblings. Two desks. Two completely different vibes. Queen of Assembly understood the assignment.

Which one are you choosing: Part 1 🖤 or Part 2 🤎?

PART 1: A room fit for a young King 👑🛠️

This lovely family wanted to elevate their son’s room and give him a dedicated space where he could sit down, focus, and get his schoolwork done.

So Queen of Assembly got to work. ✨

From allllll those pieces 😩😂 to a fully assembled desk with storage, lighting, and plenty of workspace. This is exactly why I love what I do.

Because sometimes one new piece of furniture can completely change how a room functions.

And we’re not done with this family yet… 👀

Stay tuned…Part 2: His sister’s room is next. 👑💕

Thank you, Gloria. 🕊️

Today, I’m thinking about the extraordinary life and legacy of @gloriasteinem and the generations of women and girls who have been able to dream bigger, speak louder and demand more because women like her refused to accept the world as it was.

Gloria dedicated more than half a century to advancing equality and helping build a movement that insisted women’s stories, experiences and voices deserved to be heard. We have come a long way because of that work. And while we still have so much further to go, we are not starting from where she started. That matters.

On a personal level, one of my dreams was to write for @ms_magazine, the publication Gloria helped create and turn into something much larger than a magazine, a movement. As the CEO of @endrapeoncampus, I eventually had the privilege of writing four articles for Ms., using that platform to advocate for survivors, challenge institutions and push for a more just world.

Seeing my name on those pages meant more to me than simply being published. I was contributing, in my own small way, to a legacy that women like Gloria made possible.

I hope something I wrote moved someone. I hope it made a survivor feel seen. I hope it challenged someone to think differently. And I hope it contributed another small piece to the movement she spent her life helping build.

Gloria once wrote about people asking whether she was “passing the torch.” Her response was that she was keeping hers and using it to light the torches of others.

I think that may be one of the most beautiful ways to understand legacy.

Your torch lit millions of others, Gloria. Mine is one of them.

Thank you for what you gave women and girls. Thank you for the doors you helped open. Thank you for making room for our voices.

We’ll keep carrying the light. 🕊️

Rest in power, Gloria Steinem. 1934–2026.
