My # 1 baby boy for life ♥️🍊
It’s been a ROUGH few weeks. Marvin’s health has been all over the place. So my head has been too 😢 We’re doing everything we can to make sure he gets the treatments that are safe and effective but some of his medications right now are counterproductive.
I know you all are fans of him, maybe just as much as I am (but I doubt it) so I wanted to give a little update.
We’re seeing a specialist next month regarding his asthma since we are not seeing improvements on his inhaler. And today I spent 12 hours checking his blood glucose levels at home to make sure he’s getting enough insulin. It was not fun, for me or for him. So many things to learn about, so many things to worry about… so much I feel I have no control over.
I have ugly cried harder than I probably have since I was a baby over this. I just want him well, I want him to enjoy the sunshine and his walks and get zoomies and bring cicadas into my house, and try to steal the food off my plate when I’m looking right at him... I want him to wake me up in the morning because he thinks I’ve simply slept long enough. I feel like he hasn’t gotten to be himself this summer and it breaks my heart.
I wasn’t ready for him to be a senior cat with health problems. I always told everyone he’s my 11 year old new born child…

You guys really came through with the love for Marvin 🥲 I am so grateful for all the support and the kind words... It really just felt so special during this scary and uncertain time. It was a treat to also spend some time drawing YOUR babies.
Marvin is doing much better! We are adjusting to the new meds and the new routine and I am so glad I can give him the medical care he needs right now.
