🍫 🖨 I just 3D printed chocolate! 🍫 🖨

I finally assembled my @cocoapress chocolate 3D printer (serial 0002!), and I’ve been having a blast with it. 🤯

I’ve modified a few paste extrusion-based printers in the past that extruded chocolate, PB+J, and frosting (like the one designed by @der_coco ), but this is my first printer specifically designed for printing chocolate! 🍫

HUGE shout-out to Ellie Weinstein and the whole Cocoa Press team on the launch of this machine. It was a fun weekend project to assemble and it’s working great right out of the box! ⚒

Upside-down 3D printer? Sure, why not! 🙃

The @positron3d is a 3D printer that extrudes filament *up* against a platform! It’s a fun kit to build, and it’s got a lot of unique features!

It also has a transparent heated glass bed, a planetary gear extruder, and the whole thing folds up and fits into a TSA-approved carrying case! 🤣

I modeled and 3D printed Dylan’s charm from Control Resonant!

I just finished the main story of Control Resonant and really loved the little inverted man charm (Astral Dive?) that Dylan wears on his FBC jacket.

I used the Cosplay guide released by @remedygames for some reference images, and it came out perfect!

This summer, I 3D scanned several tombstones in Charlotte’s Pinewood Cemetery as a project to get more familiar with editing 3D scans in Blender.

There’s something weirdly relatable about seeing a 100 year old typo carved into stone, knowing that someone spent an afternoon trying to turn a 3 into an 8 before thinking “Yeah, that should do it.”

The internet’s favorite webcomic Achewood just turned 25, and I got to 3D model Ray and Roast Beef for a limited run of 3D printed figurines with @onstad!

I've been reading Achewood since 2004, so when Chris reached out to work on this project together I was *beyond* stoked.

He signed and numbered 50 sets of Ray and Roast Beef from the Great Outdoor fight, and they sold out in only a few hours!

Erica and I were lucky enough to see the life-sized RX-0 Unicorn Gundam in Tokyo last year, and apparently it’s being taken down in just a few months! 😭

I’m really grateful we got to experience it; we made multiple trips out to Odiba / Diver City to see it lit up at night!

The @creality3d Sermoon P1 is basically a 3D scanner with an entire computer stuffed into it, and it’s ~incredible~!

I do a lot of 3D scanning outdoors when I travel, but most 3D scanners don’t have a screen or the ability to edit scans without a computer. Annoying!

Being able to capture, edit, and export 3D scans while on the go and without a computer is an awesome experience!

I made a Suica Penguin bookmark! 🐧🚅

One of my favorite parts of Japan was seeing the little Suica penguin all over the @jreast_official stations, but I didn’t get a physical card while I was there!

@shes_gaming_again has been reading a ton lately, so I thought making a bookmark based on the iconic IC card would be a fun project!
