Happy 2025 ! 💫✨With the start of a new year, we thought it would be a good time to reintroduce ourselves to new and old followers alike. Heskin Projects is a partnership between Elizabeth Heskin, Tracey Ravdin Perlmutter and Patricia Spergel. We have curated 6 exhibitions at 1GAP Gallery, beginning in September 2022 with a mini retrospective of Judith Simonian’s work, and will be curating two more shows in 2025. We’ve also worked with private and corporate clients to grow their collections and we never stop going to galleries & museums and visiting artists’ studios. We love what we do; please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if we can advise you in any capacity.

Loved seeing this towering #ViolaFrey sculpture @deyoungmuseum adjacent to other Bay Area artists. #ceramicsculpture #bayareafigurativeart @violafreyarchives

“Krasner and Pollock: Past Continuous” is a sprawling survey of two giant artists and one post is not enough to address the entire exhibition. Here are a few favorites by #LeeKrasner that made us totally reevaluate her position in art history. The Met was very crowded and lighting was not the best. Scroll through for a few details and labels. On view @metmuseum through 1/31/27. 🎨🎨🎨 by @heskinprojects

What an absolute treat to see these 3 fantastic #BayAreafigurativepaintings @deyoungmuseum. Swipe to see labels and one detail. #DavidPark #ElmerBischoff 🎨 💡 by @heskinprojects

🧡While we are between projects, we are going to look back on some of our favorite studio visits. This is @elisa__jensen in October 2024. The autumn light in her studio that day was beautiful. 🍂 She was in our exhibition “Tell Me Another Story” @1gapgallery in Winter 2025. Follow her to see more. 🎨🎨 by @heskinprojects

🎯”Mala Iqbal: Among Us” is on view @jjmurphygallery through 10/10. There is a gallery talk today at 4 PM. These complex and dense #oiloncanvas paintings by @mala150 are powerful but also deeply empathetic. Swipe through to see a few details. And even better go see them IRL to get the full experience. #figurativepainting #narrativepainting 🎨🧑‍🎨 by @heskinprojects

🌟”Like a Star at Dawn” is a beautiful show of new paintings by @mairedev on view through 10/17 @freightandvolumegallery. We particularly loved these small paintings. She packs a lot of emotional depth into these works. Swipe through 🤳🏻to the end to see a detail of the 🌈 painting. #marydevincentis #narrativepainting #paintingdreams by @heskinprojects

✨☄️”Field Conditions” - sensational new paintings and sculptures by Soumya Netrabile - is on view @anatebgigallery through 10/17. (Check w gallery for hours). #soumyanetrabile

🎨As always these need to be seen 👀 in person to fully appreciate the sensual brushstrokes, subtle color shifts and scale. Also apologies for not taking any 📷 of the sculptures. by @heskinprojects

🌟Do not miss “Cave Painting” - a solo exhibition by @osamu_kobayashi on view through October 10th @hollistaggartdowntown !!
iPhone photos do not do justice to the subtlety of color, the scale and the vibrational feeling that emanates from these breathtaking #oiloncanvas paintings. Swipe to see a few details, but better yet go see 👀these in person! 🧡💛🩵🩷💙 by @heskinprojects

💫So glad we got to see @sethhowe_art one person exhibition titled “Architecture of Awareness” @tytegallery. The show is on view through 9/27. This Saturday, 9/19, the artist will be in the gallery for an afternoon of conversation. His work explores multi media- sculpture, photography and video. Curated by @sharon_a_bates.

Her one person show “Plush” was the first exhibition we curated for @1gapgallery in the fall of 2022. Her paintings keep getting better & better. Follow her to see updates. 🎨🎨 by @heskinprojects
