In early October I was diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine mammogram. This led to multiple MRIs, biopsies and tests, and, ultimately, a double mastectomy in November. To say my world was turned upside down is an understatement. My silver lining is my family and friends. The way everyone supported me and provided me with strength is something I will never forget. Thank you to my husband who held my hand tightly throughout this experience and showed me that there is nothing more important than health and our family. I want to thank @drelisaport, @hsbitany and Dr. Paula Klein for their guidance and care. I also want to thank @mayahartman for helping me translate all the information being thrown at me and making it a little less scary. You are all everything to me. I’ll be healing and having reconstructive surgery over the next few months. I look forward to positivity and LIFE!!! by @hessshnay
