Thanks for sending these pics @oldboardmagz this was an interview I haven’t seen from snowboarder OZ. I used to go to thredbo for the quick cup surf n snow or coke cup. Always a good time n always a party with Timmy n gibbo. This article is during the @palmer555 team years @snp5000 Aka don’t needham pics, miss u Scotty. Temp Palm @matthewgoodman @jasenisaacs @prestigeboise Our team ripped n my all time fav team. Temple was wild n truly in need of professional mentoring in his life which we were able to provide that an alcohol.. Matty known n firmly believe he is getting better yet still@to close at times. Still a little bitter they all wussed out on my rollerblade naked through the Reno mall team bonding experience. Yet you just need to lead by example at times. This team didn’t last long but our friendships sure have which for me is the true gift of snowboarding. Couple good quotes in there and the Palm team jersey shot is from heather meadows lodge at the lbs 30 years ago, 4th place still haunts me to this day. Hip is lower little cloud. Gonna do some digging find some other teams cause I moved around n the companies were never great but my teammates/friends sure were those m my priceless homies at the hill . Bird n tahoe day were fast loose n carefree. Grateful for u foos gonna dig for some Lamar limited temper LO LO and Fila stuff now. Lastly My heart goes out to the victims n their families of the castle peak tragedy. by @hetzbanger

This thing is long!!! Went to see my favorite child @avahetzel play her last few games of soccer on Oct 22nd, easy @havenblu your my fav golf child prodigy. Anyhow I ended up in cardiff for Nov n Dec trying to sling a home, lot of house chores, 5 weeks of great surf, thanksgiving and Xmas. Plenty of range time, skateparks with groms, rad malbon tourney with Syp. Ava killed it her last few games, couldn’t have played any better but they lost so technically a loser. Back home, finally snow and opening day today which was my latest ever since high school did not disappoint. One more thing, peace! by @hetzbanger

RIP GODFATHER…so grateful to have shared some quality time with Martin early on. Not gonna lie he was one intense mother when I first met him, horrible loud frenglish and frothing like a puppy. Screaming at me while riding…Andy where da launch..u go der now ..WTF is he saying but once I figured it out and his love to ride and live it we hit it off. Great rider but I don’t remember much of that I’m just caught between smiling n tears remembering how excited, positive and funny he was. You see him you smile. Testament to so many of us who just wanted to snowboard and it turned into a dreamy reality. So sorry for your loss @pascalgallant ❤️❤️❤️. 📷 Thompson pass Ak. 2nd pic hits hard. Our Brew passed away last week, moved on to a better course, a pow mow in the sky, and is surely wearing his slippers to the vert ramp. I say ours because he was loved and respected by so many; he was charismatic, oozed style with quick wit and country club swagger all while scraping resin and making a plans to get to whisky and PBR at the state store while in his red or green one-piece he wore 24/7. He was kind, positive, a master shit talker, and so fucking talented, far from perfect but oh so lovable. I strongly believe he is the original, the first skate/snowboarder who brought skate style to the snow. Maybe others skated and had snowboards, but Brew fucking ripped both with proper style. I point that out so people know! So maybe some riders today, riders that skate, know and respect his name, Andy Brewer….. Noah, @chrisroach255 , Av, @btoddrichards all rip but all younger, Bert Lamar was close but rode like a fruit booter…Brew is the one, the first, the original skater on snow. @benjamin.pellegrino @milo_auburn or @bonelessproducts can probably vouch for me since my encyclopedia of 80-90s snow has many reblacked pages.
He was a stick golfer from the tips. Since I have a severe golf addiction and my daughter lives in SLC, I would call and text him this past year and a half to see if he was there for a round at Bonneville, the course he grew up on. We would talk golf and the good old days, which I truly cherish now. He told me how he used to winterstick down the steep hill on 18 in the early to mid-80s so next time you’re playing Bonneville and get to the 6th hole par 3 ( his house was) or 18th pour some out, do a shot, take a puff and or grit for Brew (proper order is crown/beam/PBR/puff/grit with a chew in on Choco), if none of the above applies, just a smile and acknowledge the legend. Riding Brighton, the Bird or building kicks in canyons know brew ripped em with style long ago. I could go on with plenty of stories, early AK, Bird, Empty Milly Pow for days with no around, Mrs cs in slippers, Liquo, LCC cabin full moon, but will leave it at “whatcha got”. Love and respect Brew, you may be gone but you will never be forgotten my friend. ♥️ by @hetzbanger
