Graduation day for our boy. 🎓❤️ Reflecting on an amazing four years of learning and growth for Lucas. Before I became a mom, I thought preschool graduations were silly, but we are so proud today! Lucas is leaving VPK with so many skills and so much confidence for kindergarten. He is reading basic stories independently, writing, making and solving his own math equations, completing 1,000 piece puzzles, building so many cool things with Legos, and expressing himself! Even better, he is kind, funny, a good friend, the best big brother ever, and the most loving and affectionate boy. We are so grateful to all of his teachers, especially his VPK teachers this year who have made such an impact on him. Onwards and upwards to Kindergarten!🤩 by @heumanneric

Meet composer Eric Heumann, a versatile musician whose works have been honored with awards and premiered by ensembles across the country. From orchestral pieces like The War in Heaven with The Florida Orchestra to chamber and organ works performed at national conferences and competitions, Eric’s music balances dramatic scope with intimate emotional depth.

At Songs of the Hispanic Diaspora II, Eric sets Alfonsina Storni’s Dulce tortura for mezzo soprano and piano. This powerful poem, filled with conflicted desire and quiet anguish, finds new life in Eric’s music, revealing both its sensuality and its haunting undercurrents.

Join us Sunday, Aug. 24 at Timucua Arts Foundation for an evening of poetry transformed into vivid new soundscapes.
