Words mentioned in post above… A bit of a life update… The last time I hopped on here, I was sharing my IVF journey—many of you know I went through fertility treatment throughout 2023 and into 2024. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster. But today, I’m excited to share some special news… After my 7th embryo transfer last year, we finally got the news we’d been hoping for—a successful pregnancy. I went on to carry our miracle baby almost to full term. She arrived a little early, born at 35 weeks in mid-June this year 💕 The first 7 weeks of motherhood have been a mixture of emotions. Our little girl spent the first 8 days of her life in the premie ward. Though we were able to bring her home after that, those first few days were incredibly hard—especially leaving the hospital without her 😔 Ed and I travelled into hospital 3 times a day every day—to feed her, cuddle her, and encourage my milk supply. At home, I was pumping every 2–3 hours, around the clock. But now—we are all home, together. My milk has fully come in and we’ve found our rhythm. Each day I have to pinch myself—because I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have my daughter by my side. Oh, and by the way… we named her Pearl 🤍✨ taken in Naarm by @hew_clothing

Thank you so much to everyone for all your beautiful messages of support, I forgot to mention yesterday how proud I am for all that I have achieved with HEW. Much like fertility it’s a rollercoaster of emotions, lots of highs and lots of lows. First of all, I would like to say a huge thank you to my HEW community for showing your support over the past decade. To all my loyal customers and suppliers, thank you for making HEW possible. As you may know, I have been battling with fertility treatments for the past 20 months. This journey has left me emotionally and physically exhausted, with little energy to manage my business. Sometimes life forces hard decisions upon us which would most likely be avoided. I had always envisioned my departure from HEW would coincide with the announcement of a pregnancy. It seems I have not succeeded in that endeavor either. Instead, I am preparing for another round of IVF treatment with a new clinic and feel it’s time to take a break from HEW to allow me to fully concentrate on my medical treatments. When I first started HEW in 2014, my goal was to breathe new life into menswear by embracing honest and sustainable practices. For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of owning a fashion brand, and I realised I couldn’t let life slip by without pursuing that dream. I cherish the years that HEW has shaped my life, offering me new experiences and the wonderful friendships within the HEW community. Just jumping on here to give a bit of an update… Over the past year, I have undergone weekly hospital visits for IVF treatment. Balancing these medical appointments with additional work to cover the expenses has left me with little opportunity to nurture and expand my first baby, HEW. For those who have ordered with me in the past year, I thank you for your patience and understanding as orders have been delayed. Dealing with infertility is an incredibly challenging journey, especially in this era of social media. That is why you probably haven’t seen much of me here on the insta feed. Big shout out to @chloe.fisher from @darlingshine.podcast who was so opened about her infertility journey online and became a real comfort to me. I found it difficult locating content from individuals currently undergoing IVF treatment. Seems like there’s more material shared after the birth of a baby, rather than in real-time. I hope that by sharing this post, it brings reassurance to someone who is currently experiencing infertility, reminding them that they are not alone E X by @hew_clothing
