“What watch would I design if I had been born 100 years earlier….” Max Busser, rhetorically, on the LM1. Taking inspiration from the era of Jules Vernes and Gustav Eiffel, among others.

The flying balance wheel, two completely separate time displays and a vertical power reserve make the LM1 a landmark in watchmaking - presented in a traditional round case, something never seen before employed by MB&F.

The case alone has 65 components and the movement 279 components and 23 jewels.

The “Friends” were Jean-Francois Mojon (Chronode) and Kari Voutilainen.

A grand total of 436 LM1’s were made across all metals, dial colours, Xia Hang (with his Comma Men “Mr. Up and Mr. Down) and Alain Silberstein references (with the single clear crystal bridge replacing the twin arched steel bridges and with concave subsidiary dials replacing the regular convex).

I am blessed to have one of the 139 made with a white gold case and dark grey dial, manufactured between 2011 and 2017.😍 #mbandf #legacymachine
