It's really feeling like Autumn here this morning, a chilly start to the day watching the mist roll across the fields felt like pure magic.

There's a damp humidity to the air, a sensation that always makes me think of dense woodland and the treasures hidden within...🍄‍🟫🍂 by @hexandhenbane

Yes or no?

Often the smallest room in the home, bathrooms can be the perfect place to experiment with your decor. Dark, rich colours and bold patterns can take the smallest room in the house and let it make the biggest impact. After all, who says a bathroom has to be white and chrome?

When it comes to wallpaper, steam and water damage are often the first concern - we recommend using wallpaper in 'low impact' areas that are less likely to be splashed. Providing your bathroom has adequate ventilation, steam shouldn't be an issue, however if you're concerned you can always seal the wallpaper with a clear varnish. (Just please test this on a small scrap first - depending on the printing process it could damage the print!) ✨

Would you try wallpaper in your bathroom? 🖤✨ by @hexandhenbane

It's a special day here, and this is in the fridge ready for this evening...

Because in exactly one year's time, we'll be saying 'I do' 🖤

Swipe through to take a peek at the planning and discover some of the gorgeous wedding vendors who will make the vision a reality...

As a pair of climbers who spend more time outdoors than in our own home, we want a wedding to reflect that...

Think a moody, earthy colour palette, natural textures and a wild, romantic vibe 🖤

Now onto the most important thing...the venue!

We chose the absolutely gorgeous @townheadestate up on the shores of Lake Windermere. If next year's weather is better than today's, we'd love an outdoor ceremony overlooking the lake, but their wedding barn is equally as stunning if the weather isn't on our side.

Funnily enough, we drove past this venue every single day on our first holiday to the Lake District together 🖤

The styling is in the very capable hands of @emmajaneevents - we're thinking twinkly fairy lights, chic gold accents and candles a plenty paired with gorgeous floristry and signage and stationery handmade by yours truly ✨

We have the lovely @bramblewildbakery on board for the cake, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with! I love these moody, painterly mountain designs and the way a semi-naked cake can feel almost like a landscape in itself 🏔️

The second I saw @tireedawson 's photography I fell in love - she captures the exact atmosphere we're after from a wild, Lakeland wedding and her daughter shoots the most stunning film photography too 🖤

I love the idea of very foliage-heavy floristry, and Sam at @freerangefloristry is the girl for the job! I'd strongly recommend giving her a follow, not just for her stunning flowers but also because you never know just what you'll encounter on her absolutely hilarious stories (hint: wasps, stripping in public) 😂💁🏼‍♀️

The catering is provided by @karenrhodesweddingsandevents - we're off to pay them a visit in a few months time for a menu tasting and I can't wait! Up there with cake samples as one of the best parts of wedding planning, I'm sure!

And finally, the beauty. As I'm sure you can imagine, I'm not a traditional b by @hexandhenbane
