@hexedababe on AllPoetry, because apparently having thoughts wasn’t enough, I had to start documenting them. 🐓

Summer of 26’

Genuinely cannot put words together to say how amazing this experience was at University of Glasgow’s Summer School. I met many amazing, inspiring people and friends. Hopefully see you guys in September! 🫶🏼🥹💗

Greed wears silk

A spider never seems to build
more than it actually needs.

A few threads,
then a few more.
Patient enough
to turn completely empty space
into a place to survive.

It doesn’t stop to ask
if the web will be there tomorrow.

The wind will decide that.
Or the rain.
Or just something bigger
passing through the garden.

Still,
it builds.

I wonder when we stopped
being like that.

Somewhere along the way
a simple shelter became a house.
A house became an estate.
An estate became a city.
A city became an empire.
And still,
we just kept adding threads.

Greed.
Greed is humanity’s biggest downfall.

Perhaps that was the first thread
we should never have woven.

An empire becomes a world
divided into pieces
no one could truly own.

We built higher,
faster,
larger,
more,

Until the web becomes something
we can’t contain anymore,
and like every other problem,
we exterminate it.

If these walls could annotate, they’d overthink every question too.📖
