Tomorrow we gather under the Gemini New Moon. 🌙✨As we begin to shift into summer, I’m anchoring into three words:☀️ Present☀️ Creative☀️ PlayfulHow do you want to feel this season? The Moon Gathering Series is an invitation to pause, reflect, and return to yourself.Ritual doesn’t have to be complicated. Many of us already have rituals and don’t even realize it. The morning cup of tea. Lighting a candle. Taking a deep breath before beginning. Ritual is simply intention woven into everyday life.✨ Six Moons. One Summer. A Return to Yourself. ✨Moon Seed Journal holders attend complimentary. We begin tomorrow, June 13. Join us.Happy Pride Month. 🌈Honoring Indigenous stories, wisdom, and community. ✨…and a reminder to check in on the men you love this Men’s Health Month. 💙••#MoonGatheringSeries by @hey.angieb

Summer burnout starts in June, not August. It starts when we say yes before checking in with ourselves. When every weekend becomes booked. When everyone else’s plans become our priorities.Speaking from experience. 🫠Does any of this sound familiar? Before saying yes, I now ask myself:✨Do I actually want this?✨Do I have the energy for this?✨Will my future self thank me?And before thinking about the places I’ll go, the things I’ll do, and the people I will see, I ask myself:𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒐 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍?…this is intentional especially as a highly attuned person. The three words I’m anchoring into this summer are:☀️Present☀️Creative☀️PlayfulWhat are yours? 💫••PS: This reflection is one of the many practices we’ll explore inside the Moon Gathering Series beginning June 13 under the Gemini New Moon. 🌑 ♊️ by @hey.angieb

As the “do all the things” energy of summer approaches, I am setting a foundation for how I want to move through this season.I don’t want to rush through it - physically, mentally, or emotionally.I will move with intention and presence, and that starts with making space for myself. That is the heart of the Moon Gathering Series.Six opportunities this summer to pause, reflect, and return to what feels true.✨Six Moons. One Summer. A Return to Yourself.✨Our first gathering begins June 13 under the Gemini New Moon. 🌑 If you’re craving a more intentional summer, I’d love for you to join us.💙Angie B. by @hey.angieb

May is Asian American & Pacific Islander Month 🌊As I move through my lineage series, Okinawa Black, I’ll be sharing more depth around the culture of the Ryukyu Islands. For now, I want to begin with a few fun facts, some I learned on my recent visit to Okinawa.🌊 Sēfa Utaki is considered the most sacred site in Okinawa. The Kikoe-ōgimi, the high priestess of the Ryukyuan spiritual tradition, would offer prayers here for the king’s health, prosperity, and the well-being of the entire kingdom.🌊 From 1429 to 1879, Okinawa was the cultural heart of the Ryukyu Kingdom, acting as a bridge between East Asia connecting China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia through trade, culture, and exchange.🌊 One of Okinawa’s indigenous languages is Uchinaaguchi - say it out loud a few times! These Ryukyuan languages were removed from schools after Okinawa became a Japanese prefecture, and today they’re considered endangered due to assimilation policies that centered Japanese as the dominant language.🌊 Okinawa is also known as a “Blue Zone” region where people live some of the longest lives in the world, many well into their 90s and 100s. Longevity here is deeply tied to lifestyle, community, and food.🌊 Speaking of food…where do I even begin?!Umibudo are “sea grapes” or “green caviar” tiny, glistening pearls of seaweed that pop in your mouth.Beni imo is the vibrant purple sweet potato - rich, nourishing, and known for its role in supporting the health and longevity of Okinawan people. Much more to come.If you’re a Pacific Islander, share something unique to your culture and land in the comments. ••#OkinawaBlack #Culture #PacificIslander by @hey.angieb

My mother is from Okinawa and my father is from Oklahoma. They met in Okinawa while my father was stationed in the Marines, and my mother moved to the US just before my brother was born.My mom legit thought she was going somewhere like NYC, not to a farm with cows, pigs, and a pack of dogs. 😆 My mom then remarried my other dad who is from W. Philly.I grew up immersed in Black culture, and identified as such, with two unique upbringings - country and city.I struggled because, back then, there were no Blasians who I could fully identify with. I also wasn’t accepted by many Black people because I didn’t look Black. Now that I’ve given a mini foundation of my upbringing, I’m going to dive into some fascinating facts about the Ryuku Islands and what I learned on my recent visit to Okinawa. To all my Blasians, can you relate?••#OkinawaBlack #Culture #Okinawa #Indigenous by @hey.angieb

On May 2–3, we get away from the noise of the city and step onto sacred land for an intimate retreat designed for restoration, ceremony, and integration.Through the ancient practice of temazcal, we release what is complete and make space for what is emerging.Surrounded by lush gardens, chef-prepared nourishment, and space to truly reset, thIs experience is both grounding and deeply restorative.Massage is available as an optional add-on, and those who wish to stay overnight are invited into a more spacious, integrative experience.Space is limited.
