GROOVE ROOM 044 | HEY CABRERA | ITALY, TURIN Hey Cabrera! is a Turin-based DJ, producer, and songwriter. His sound is a unique blend of Italo, disco and house, deeply shaped by his garage-rock roots (Stooges, Velvet Undergorund and Suicide). His songwriting approach is instinctive and immediate, carrying an almost punk attitude. No frills: just hooks that hit hard on the very first listen. Over the years, he has performed at several European clubs, including Berlin’s Renate and Sisyphos and has signed releases on labels such as Bordello a Parigi, Frank Music, Love Attack and Feinstoff Berlin. Furthermore, his track “Tutto Matto” is featured on the third volume of “Italomania” the prestigious compilation curated by Toy Tonics. His music has also hit the Italian radio airwaves with “Ca Va? Je T’Aime!”, an eccentric electronic nursery rhyme created alongside Protopapa and Emmanuelle. The track showcases his ability to blend irony, pop sensibility, and club rhythms, all while maintaining absolute dancefloor credibility. Highly active as a remixer, Hey Cabrera! moves effortlessly between underground shades and pop icons, as proven by his official remixes for the legendary Italian diva Ornella Vanoni. His latest EP, “Go By Night” - released together with the duo Marta Paradise - was released on May 4, 2026, on Bordello a Parigi. 🛑 TRIGGER WARNING: There’s a lot to read here, but hey... If you love vinyl and good dance music, It’s worth it. Promise. For me, summer in the ‘80s here in Italy always started the exact same way: with a mixed dance compilation in my hands. Those futuristic covers and that seamless, continuous flow of music weren’t just records to me. They were the very definition of sunshine and good vibes. That was the exact spark that made me want to become a DJ. 
Today, the circle comes full circle. I’m super happy to announce MIXATISSIMO, a mixed compilation I’ve packed up including the tracks that I’ve been playing out the most over the last few years. Tunes that have completely blown up the dancefloor late at night and set the perfect vibe in the finest listening bars.

I felt this deep need to bring them all together but I didn’t want just another cold playlist. I wanted a single, continuous flow. A non-stop journey that captured that exact nostalgic warmth of my childhood, but projected straight into contemporary clubbing. 
10 absolute bangers - some of them on vinyl for the very first time - ranging from modern italo and indie dance to electronics, pressed on an exclusive, limited vinyl-only edition by Universo Segundo (my brand-new label) and powered by @bordelloaparigi 
 I personally edited the tracks and locked the groove at a fixed BPM (122 on Side A, 125 on Side B) with drum-only transitions. This means that DJs can easily use it to play and mix the individual tracks standalone in their sets. Pretty useful, right? 😎 
To wrap things up, I want to give a massive, heartfelt thank you to all the labels and artists involved who made this project possible. And, of course, a huge shout-out to @ottokraanen who turned my vision into reality. 
So… The soundtrack of your summer is ready. Just grab it!

‘Hey Cabrera! is back at Bordello. Following on from Italo Void, this time he arrives with two friends and fellow countrymen in tow: Marta Paradise, the duo of Paolo Ancona and Davide Pozzovivo. A shared passion for the analogue riches of the 1980s cements this new partnership, a passion fully captured in the bold synth‑lines and heady grooves of Go By Night. Bodies swirl in the fog of “Stasera No.” Glittering melodies float above clean beats, shifts swooping and tucking before the unmistakable vocals of Fred Ventura smoulder. The mood drops from disco to basement as “Go Ahead” takes hold. Those addictive hooks remain central, but now they’re teased by breathy samples, orchestral rinses and thick basslines. Whistle blasts and cowbell rumbles introduce the flip. Bright and luminous, vocoder verses carry this late‑night rave straight into sunrise. Tempos fall for the close. Fragile drum patterns form a base from which machined and spoken words intertwine with bubbling 303 lines. New Ep is out today! 💥💥 Hey Cabrera! and Marta Paradise come together around a shared passion for the electronic aesthetic and analogue sounds of the 1980s. “Go By Night” is built from months of reciprocal exchange, with demos and ideas passed back and forth, each taking shape in the other’s hands. The result moves between disco, Italo and underground shades, reflecting a diverse yet remarkably cohesive spectrum of influences. The opener “Stasera No” is driven by a summer vibe: bodies swirl on the dancefloor as shimmering melodies float above clean rhythms, while subtle shifts lead into the unmistakable voice of @fred_ventura_muzik With “Go Ahead”, the mood slides from bright disco into more subterranean territory: the hooks remain central, now wrapped in breathy samples, liquid orchestral touches and deep basslines. The B-side starts with whistles and cowbells introducing “Magico Movimento”, a bright and luminous track where vocoder verses guide this late-night rave all the way into sunrise. For the closing moments, the tempo drops: “Crush” is a hypnotic nursery rhyme referencing icons of Italian culture such as Pasquale Panella and Piero Manzoni, built on drum patterns and bubbling 303 lines.
