I’ve been thinking about the word remember lately.

Not just remembering where you left your keys or the name of a song or some tiny detail from another life.

But re-membering.

Putting yourself back together.

Calling back the parts of you that got quieter somewhere along the way.

The things you loved before you started considering whether anyone else understood them.

The way you dressed.

The music you played too loud.

The places that made you feel alive.

The things you wanted before you learned to explain or justify wanting them.

I think we spend so much of our lives becoming.
Becoming mothers. Partners. Wives. Professionals. Caretakers.

Becoming whatever the season in front of us requires.

And sometimes, without even realizing it, we leave little pieces of ourselves behind.

Not because they disappeared.

Just because life got louder.

Lately I’ve had enough quiet to hear some of mine again.

In the ocean.
In writing.
In music.
In wandering around with nowhere particularly important to be.

In noticing sunsets and heart-shaped rocks and tiny beautiful things like they are somehow meant specifically for me.

And maybe finding yourself isn’t really about finding anything at all.

Maybe it’s remembering.

Remembering what makes your eyes light up.

Remembering what you want.

Remembering what feels like you.

Remembering who you were before life handed you so many other people to be.

There is something really beautiful about meeting those pieces again.

Tiny things.

But they feel strangely important.

Like breadcrumbs back to a life that feels like mine.

And every once in a while I catch myself in one of those moments and think,

there you are.

I remember you.

And god, I’ve missed you.

summer captures according to my camera roll…

picking flowers.
getting on planes.
getting in the water.
lifting heavy-ish things in the jungle.
feeding people.
finding somewhere beautiful and staying longer than planned.
saying yes to random things.
raising girls who keep me humble.
picnics with a view.
noticing beauty in the mundane.

I think one of the best parts of getting older is realizing a good life is mostly made up of really ordinary things.

good food.
people you love.
somewhere beautiful to sit.
laughing a lot.
getting outside.
doing things just because they sound fun.

and somehow all those tiny, seemingly insignificant moments add up to a life you realize you really f*cking love.

summer was good to us. 🤍

Learning that living fearlessly will cost you everything you can afford to lose, and give you treasures even money can’t buy.

It’s easier said than done but there is beauty and bravery in it’s execution.

Burn bad bridges but heal what you can.

Cut bad fruit off the tree but nurture the purity in tender seeds.

There’s a balance to being reborn.

It’s radically loud and as gentle as a whisper.

It’s a revolution out there.

And it starts within your own heart.

“Some beautiful paths can’t be found without getting lost.”

Sometimes life reroutes us in ways we never expected. We lose our sense of direction, things fall apart, and the map we thought we were following no longer makes sense. But it’s often in those moments—when we feel the most uncertain—that we stumble upon something profoundly beautiful. A new path. A deeper truth. A version of ourselves we never knew existed.

So if you’re feeling lost, maybe you’re not off track.

Maybe you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

And maybe… just maybe… something beautiful is waiting around the bend.

Keep trusting the unfolding, even when it makes no sense.

Especially when it makes no sense.

Somewhere within the wandering, something beautiful is waiting to be found.

When we move, lives moves with us.

Doors open, energy shifts, and life responds in ways we never expected.

For 13 years, I lived in a state of either freezing or fleeing—never fully here, never fully gone.

Afraid to take action.
Yet terrified of staying still too long.

I see now that those states weren’t me. They were survival patterns, echoes of an old self trying to keep me safe. Through parts work, I’ve traced their shape, felt their weight, and begun to understand the places they take me when fear creeps in.

Healing isn’t about erasing the parts of us that once kept us safe. It’s about seeing them, understanding them, and choosing to walk forward anyway.

We are meant to meet life head-on, to trust that when we step, the ground will rise to meet us.

Healing isn’t about rewriting the past. It’s about being present enough to recognize the joy that exists right here, right now.

It’s the moment you realize you’re no longer waiting for permission to feel at peace.

It’s choosing to step forward—not because the past disappears, but because life is still unfolding in front of you.

And you deserve to be here for it.

They watched as my world fell apart.

It’s been 6 months and the grief still, sneaks in & surprises me with its weight.

When I arrived home, I asked for more time with them, to distract me from the pain but my goodness, solo parenting while your entire world is crumbling proved to be the single most challenging thing I have ever done.

Everyday, I learned something new.

Mostly, that it’s okay to be messy & imperfect in front of our children.

It’s more than okay to not have the words to explain why you’re sad and to just let your tears fall over and over and over again.

I mean, how do you explain that your heart is shattered into a million pieces yet still beating?

Even after all these months I am uncovering & repairing broken fragments of myself with their sparkling little eyes glued on me.

Its both a gift and a deeply medicinal challenge to raise children while you’re mending your own hearts wounds.

I think these are the moments though.

The moments we never forget.

When life gets real, raw & unforgettable.

And fuck does motherhood have a way of giving us just that.

Why Consistent Snacking Can Transform Your Home and Health 🍒🍯

✨ Creating Consistency and Calm: Regular, nourishing snacks provide more than just fuel; they create a rhythm that helps our bodies feel safe and secure. When children and adults know food is always available, it supports nervous system regulation, reducing stress and creating a calm environment. Studies show that predictable routines around eating reduce cortisol levels, our body’s primary stress hormone, helping both us and our little ones feel grounded and at ease.

🍌 Nourishing Snacks for Stability: Consistent snacks that combine protein, healthy fats, and complex carbs provide a steady stream of energy, keeping blood sugar stable. Blood sugar highs and lows can lead to mood swings, fatigue, and anxiety, but balanced snacks keep energy stable and support focus and resilience. Research even shows that kids who snack on nutrient-dense foods—like fruits, protein, and bone broth —tend to have better academic performance and emotional regulation.

🌱 Snacks That Create Memories: Think of snack time as an opportunity to pause, connect, and nourish together. Gathering around the table or on a picnic blanket, sharing simple, whole foods like dates with butter, can create happy, grounding moments. Not only do these moments reinforce a calm, joyful environment, but they also build positive memories around food and wellness that your kids will carry with them.

So, let’s snack mindfully and make these little moments meaningful!

“How beautiful, to think that you were given the chance to know love not as only the final and most perfect version of yourself, but other ones along the way, too.

How beautiful, to think that you were able to know home not just as the final place you would ever exist, but in little alcoves, in little corners, in little flats and apartments and all the things that held you along the way.

How beautiful, to realize that the world would be so eager to meet you no matter how you showed up, just as long as you did.

And how beautiful, that when you had outgrown what you’d once been a match for, life would not allow you to settle, or to stagnate.

That love would continue to pull you toward ever-brighter and more expansive horizons.

Yes, the way you once saw something, or someone, may have changed.

It may have changed faster than you ever anticipated that it could, or in ways that you never would have imagined that it might.

But that does not lessen, and does not negate, what you thought you knew at the beginning, what you imagined that you saw.

You were right — it was the next step, even if it was not the last step. There was something within that experience that you had to learn, needed to know — even if you are still uncovering what that is, even if you are still piecing together the clarity.

So if you are gazing toward the future, and you do not know what to do, please remember that no matter what you choose, and no matter where you go — life will meet you there.

It will meet you because it is within you, because it is you.”
