It is with heavy hearts that we share the final arrangements for our mother Yolanda Levy. While our hearts are broken, we are comforted knowing that her life touched so many with love, kindness, and humor.

Our family wishes to extend our deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support we have received during this difficult time. Your kindness has been a source of comfort and strength, and we are truly grateful.

Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayer. 💔🙏🏽💜 #BrokenChain by @hey_craig

One of the greatest rewards of serving as an advisor is watching student leaders grow, evolve, and continue to answer the call to serve Southern.

From Jaguar Ambassadors to now serving as the 96th Miss Southern University and Director of the Jaguar Activities Board, Kampbell Mack and Jovan Staves embody the true spirit of student leadership. They understand that leadership is bigger than a title and that it requires a holistic view of the University, a heart for service, and a commitment to leaving Southern better than you found it.

Proud is an understatement. Watching former Ambassadors continue to lead, serve, and represent Southern with excellence is what it’s all about.

The titles may change, but the commitment to Southern remains.

The Executive Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony honored scholars whose pursuit of knowledge is matched only by their commitment to leading with purpose and serving others.

Southernite Rep. Vanessa Caston LaFleur delivered a powerful keynote that reminded us leadership is not simply earned through a title, but through vision, courage, and impact.

At Southern University, we develop leaders who are prepared to transform communities, shape industries, and leave a lasting legacy.

Congratulations to the newest Executive Ph.D. graduates. The world is ready for your leadership.
