📣 What is Clean Beauty, Really?

We get this question all the time—and the truth is, it’s not just about what’s in your products, but what’s left out.

🧴 Clean beauty = products made without known toxins, hormone disruptors, or questionable ingredients.

But here’s the thing: there’s no official definition. So we created our own standards—because you deserve better than greenwashing and vague promises.

At HeyBella, clean means:
✔️ Safe, effective, non-toxic ingredients
✔️ Transparency—every label, every time
✔️ A no-BS approach to beauty
✔️ Products we’d use on ourselves and our kids

Whether you’re new to clean beauty or a longtime label-reader, we’re here to make it easy, honest, and beautiful. 💚

One of my favorite ways to exfoliate without overdoing it.

The @fitglowbeauty Peel Pads have become a staple in my skincare routine, especially when my skin is looking a little dull or feeling congested.

Formulated with mandelic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), these pads help gently exfoliate dead skin cells, improve the appearance of uneven texture, and reveal a brighter, smoother-looking complexion.

And here’s something I always tell my clients: You don’t have to visibly peel for an exfoliant to be effective.

Mandelic acid is one of my favorite exfoliating acids because it’s generally gentler than many other AHAs, making it a great option for those looking for a more gentle approach to exfoliation.

It’s also an ingredient I love considering for blemish-prone skin, since regular exfoliation can help keep pores from becoming congested.

As always, exfoliation is about consistency, not overdoing it.

Fall, but make it velvet. 🍷🍂✨

A soft burgundy with the prettiest silk velvet cat-eye finish. The way this manicure catches the light is everything…subtle, dimensional, and effortlessly elegant.

The perfect moody fall manicure without going too dark.

Introducing THE BELLA EDIT ✨

A little bit of what I’m loving lately, curated just for you.

After years in the clean beauty space (and now as a holistic esthetician), I’ve tried a lot of products. And if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I’m pretty selective about what makes it onto my shelf.

So I’m starting a new monthly series where I’ll share the products I genuinely love, reach for, and recommend. From skincare and makeup to haircare and everything in between.

Because clean beauty should be more than a pretty label. Ingredients matter, but so does performance. 🤍

First up: The October Edit 🍂 with favorites from @fitglowbeauty @planttherapy @osmosisbeauty @sparitualist

Tell me, what’s one beauty product you’ve been loving lately? I always love discovering new favorites!

IT’S OFFICIAL ✨ Hey Bella Holistic Facials are now booking in Anaheim Hills!

This has been such a natural extension of everything I’ve built at Hey Bella.

After years of researching, testing and curating clean beauty, I wanted to take that knowledge into the treatment room — where I can actually look at your skin, understand what it needs and create a completely customized plan for you.

My approach is ingredient-first, barrier-conscious and never one-size-fits-all. Depending on your skin, I incorporate everything from botanical skincare and facial massage to LED, microcurrent, ultrasonic technology, gentle peels and advanced treatments.

If you’re new here, your journey starts with the Skin Discovery Facial — 75 minutes dedicated to getting to know your skin and giving it what it needs that day.

New @fitglowbeauty has officially landed at Hey Bella ✨

One of my favorite parts about being in the treatment room is getting to see firsthand what your skin actually needs — and it’s been helping me be even more intentional about what we bring into the shop.

These new arrivals were chosen to fill a purpose: better exfoliation for post-summer pigmentation + texture, more barrier-supporting hydration as we head into cooler weather, multitasking body care, and clean makeup that actually performs.

Swipe to see a few I’m especially excited about.

Plant Active Peel Pads for brighter, smoother-looking skin

Liquid Eyeliner because clean makeup should perform, too

🫧 Multi-use Body Wash for face, body + hair

I’m always looking for products that don’t just meet our ingredient standards, but are formulas I genuinely love, use and feel good recommending to you. by @heybella_shop

Facial massage is one of my favorite parts of a treatment and the @lemieuxprofessional ThermaLift Kit makes it easy to continue that ritual at home.

This isn’t your traditional gua sha. ThermaLift has four different settings so you can customize your massage depending on what your skin needs:

DETOX — for oily + congested skin
INFUSE — for normal + dry skin
CONTOUR — to enhance your sculpting + gua sha massage
LIFT — for an upward, lifting massage technique

The kit also pairs the device with two Le Mieux favorites to give you the perfect glide while adding skincare benefits:

TGF-β Booster is a serum designed to support firmer, smoother, healthy looking skin, while O² Calming Gel provides lightweight hydration and helps soothe the skin.

Mix 2–3 drops of TGF-β Booster with 2–3 pumps of O² Calming Gel, then work from the chest → neck → face using long, intentional strokes.

I love incorporating ThermaLift in the treatment room, but what I really love is that you can take the ritual home and continue supporting your skin between facials.

Think of it as your elevated gua sha ritual.

We’re clearing out a few @heybella_shop favorites and all at prices you probably won’t see again.

I rounded up 3 of my top picks from the sale + why I love them because there are some GOOD finds in there. 👀

Double cleanse with me 🫧✨

If you’re wearing SPF + makeup every day, one quick cleanse may not be getting everything off.

My current double-cleansing duo:

First cleanse: @joshrosebrook Complete Moisture Cleanse. I love starting with a balm/oil-based cleanse to help dissolve makeup, SPF, excess oil + the buildup from the day without leaving the skin feeling stripped.

Second cleanse: @thebodydeli Blueberry Fusion Cleanser. This is where we actually cleanse the skin. It also contains lactic + malic acids, giving you some gentle exfoliating benefits while you cleanse—especially nice if exfoliation isn’t already a regular part of your routine.

The goal isn’t to cleanse harder. It’s to cleanse more effectively while still protecting your skin barrier.

Because those beautiful serums you’re investing in? Let’s not put them on top of yesterday’s SPF. 😉

First cleanse = remove the day.
Second cleanse = cleanse the skin.

Save this for your nighttime routine!

If I could give you only one skincare recommendation, it would be this: wear your SPF every single day.

The sun is one of the biggest contributors to premature aging, hyperpigmentation, inflammation, and collagen breakdown. Unfortunately, much of that damage is very difficult to reverse once it happens.

That’s why I love finishing treatments with the @suntegrity Mineral Drops. It’s lightweight, beautiful on the skin, gentle enough after a facial, and work well for virtually every skin type.

Healthy skin isn’t about perfection. It’s about consistency and protecting your skin every single day. by @heybella_shop

Kinda chic to care what goes on your skin.

Kinda chic to support small businesses.

Kinda chic to choose ingredients over marketing.

Kinda chic to wear your SPF, nourish your skin barrier, and stop chasing every trend. by @heybella_shop

Your facial doesn’t start and stop at your face.

The neck and décolleté are often overlooked, yet they’re essential to healthy, radiant skin.

Every facial I perform begins with intentional massage to help:
• Support healthy lymphatic drainage
• Reduce facial puffiness
• Stimulate circulation
• Relieve tension held in the neck and shoulders
• Prepare the skin to better receive the treatments that follow

To me, skincare is about treating the body as a whole, not just the face. That’s what makes it holistic ☺️Thoughtful massage is one of the most powerful ways to support both skin health and relaxation, and it’s a step I’ll never skip.
