Hey! I’m Sam, - the face behind HeyBrows 🤎✨

Im 38-year and proud momma to two gorgeous pooches 🐶, and a fiancée to my beautiful wife-to-be (wedding planning pending). We’re currently on an exciting IVF journey to becoming baby mommas — a chapter we are so excited about & to share!👶

I qualified as a brow artist in November of this year after years of stalling because I didn’t believe I belonged in the industry however I overcame the fear and finally decided to go for it and it has been one of the most empowering decisions of my life. Ive always wanted to become a brow artist because I obsessed with everything brows but also because I believe beauty isn’t just about how you look — it’s about how you feel within yourself. My goal is to help every client step into their confidence by enhancing their natural features and creating brows that reflect who they are on the inside.

My client wasn’t too sure what she wanted, so we took it nice and slow and talked through every step of the process.

As lamination can slightly lighten the hairs during the chemical process, we used a light brown tint to add a subtle depth — keeping them natural, fluffy and super shiny 🙌❤️‍🔥

✨ Aftercare is EVERYTHING ✨

The right aftercare is everything to keep your brow lamination healthy, shiny and long-lasting.

To maintain the shape and brow hairs always brush them when they are wet with a spoolie and follow up with a nourishing hair conditioner or mask, I use Brow & Toxx Serum daily! 🫧

“What if I don’t have a serum – can I just use castor oil???”

This is one I get asked a lot, and honestly… I wouldn’t recommend it for laminated brows.

Castor oil is great for natural hair growth, but it’s too heavy after a lamination and can actually work against your results.

It can:
• Break down the lamination quicker
• Make your brows drop or lose their shape
• Stop moisture getting into the hair properly
• Cause build-up on the skin and brow hairs

Your lamination needs a lightweight, water based serum not thick oils trust me your brows will thank me later!

Healthy hairs = longer lasting results 🤍

Have you ever wondered what actually happens to your brow hairs during the lamination process? 🫧

Brow lamination isn’t just about shaping your brows – it’s a chemical process that softens the hair and slightly lifts the natural pigment. 🪄✨

But how?

The solution used during lamination contain a chemical that break down some of the bonds within the hair. This softens the structure and allows the brow hairs to be reshaped and set into a new direction.

At the same time, this process slightly lifts the natural pigment in the hair. When the base is lighter and the cuticle is more open, it allows products like tint to absorb more effectively.

This means the tint can settle more deeply into the lightened hairs, resulting in a darker, richer and more even colour. Not only that, but it also gives the brows a beautiful glossy finish, making them look fuller and healthier.
