Over the moon to announce that I’ve been voted 35th most influential burlesque performer in the world!

It was a shock and utter surprise to mae my debut in the @21stcenturyburlesque Top 50 Burlesque Performers ranking this year, something I didn’t think would happen for a while!

Three and a half years ago I started burlesque to start to love my body. Now, I perform and pursue burlesque because I’m proud of my whole self.

Make sure to follow @21stcenturyburlesque and check out the full list here: https://21stcenturyburlesque.com/burlesque-top-50-2025-results/ by @heydeevad

🍑Love the skin you’re in🍑

Whenever I see visual representations of ‘temptation’, they are always coded negatively, it’s always portrayed as the gateway to consequences and punishment. So for this year’s @bittenpeachuk family photoshoot to celebrate the year of the 🐍 , I wanted to explore what temptation really represents for me.

Temptation opens your eyes to what could be, to desire, to welcome creativity and to enjoy your own fulfilment.

Temptation is ambition, it’s progress and it’s confidence.

Temptation allows for adventure, exploration and journeys off the beaten path.

Temptation is colour, flavour and texture. Always changing, adapting and evolving.

Temptation is me. My brown skin, my curves and contours. My eyes, my lips, my face, my neck. It’s the hair on my chest, and the lines and shaping of my legs. It’s the confidence and comfort in my own body and the welcoming appeal of my presence.

Temptation to me is understanding that I am the embodiment of those feelings. That I am able to tempt and be tempted, without guilt, self-loathing and judgment. That giving in to temptation is giving into love, opportunity and expression.

I’m back, with a slight rebrand! Thoughts of the week was misleading - they weren’t weekly!

Interesting one for me this week with performers being bored on stage and how that translates to an audience. As entertainers our job is to be entertain - not just perform, so are we really doing our jobs well if we’re not entertaining? Food for thought!

As always, these are my musings and opinions! Feel free to disagree and let me know what you think! by @heydeevad
