This has been a JOURNEY… nevertheless.

January 2024, I was accepted into nursing school.

June 2024, I failed Pharmacology and was dismissed from the program. But I refused to give up.

By July 2024, I re-entered the program—not just to retake the class I failed, but to start completely over, even repeating classes I had already passed.

December 2024, I finished first semester strong with all B’s. THANK GOD!

January 2025, I stepped into second semester not knowing what was ahead.
Then on February 14, 2025, Valentine’s Day, I got the worst news: my grandmother was hospitalized. My family tried to shield me from the truth, but when they couldn’t anymore, I was crushed.
Despite it all, I spent hours by her side during my lunch breaks from clinicals, late nights, early mornings doing everything I could to make sure she was cared for.

March 26, 2025, my world changed.“Your grandmother transitioned.”
I was devastated. Not my granny. The healthiest person I knew. Rarely sick. Always strong. This pain wasn’t new—my other grandmother passed in 2012 right before I graduated high school. Now, here we were again—months away from graduation, and she’s gone.
Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her. I still read her texts when I need a reminder of who I am and what I’ve done thus far. One of the last things she told me was:
“MAKE SURE YOU GRADUATE NURSING SCHOOL.”
Well, Granny… HERE I AM.
Aubre’ L. Bullock, LPN
And no—it does not stop here. The marathon continues. 🩺

From dismissed to determined.
From grief to graduation.
From dreamer to nurse.

This is not the end. It’s just the beginning. 💙 by @heyitslashayxo_

“God is within her she will not fail” Psalms 46:5

I made it. Nursing school challenged me in every way, but it also shaped me into who I was meant to become.

During nursing school, I faced one of the hardest moments of my life losing my grandmother. Balancing the demands of clinicals, exams, and late-night studying while grieving was incredibly difficult. She was one of my biggest supporters, always encouraging me to follow my dreams. Her strength and compassion continue to inspire the kind of nurse I strive to become. I carry her memory with me every step of the way…

This is more than a graduation; it’s a promise to serve with compassion, lead with knowledge, and care with heart. I’m proud to say I will officially be a nurse.
Here’s to new beginnings, healing hands, and a heart ready to make a difference.

I am the nurse someone has been hoping for.
