Year 29: The Year of Manifestation The year where I plan spontaneous shopping trips, find emotional safety in the midst of the storm, go on solo dates sponsored by Delta Skymiles (cause girl, wtf were you waiting for??), finally buy “decorative towels” for my bathroom, start beating my dates in darts and connect 4 (ahahaha you thought I was just pretty, huh? Imbecile 🤣), choose rest over societal expectations, and expand my savoir faire one page at a time. Year 28, thank you for the revelations. The trials, the tribulations, the tests, the gifts, the laughs, and the provision in spite of. Thank you for the opportunity to grab onto my voice and never let go. Thank you for forcing me to stand 10 toes down, no matter what. I welcome all of these blessings and opportunities for year 29 with open arms. With God and the universe on my side, I’ve got nothing to fear and nothing to lose. Only lessons to gain. A Quick Lesson in Manifestation: ChaNayNay Edition 1. Write the vision and make it plain (or buy a $10 Chanel picture from your job and hang it on your bedroom wall lol) 2. Check your environment: Be honest with yourself, can you FREELY receive your manifestation in your CURRENT reality? In your current job? Relationship? City? Are there naysayers, advice monsters, or energy vampires? What DOESN’T fit that which you desire to manifest? 3. If it doesn’t fit, YOU MUST AQUIT 🤣: No but really, this one is hard. You simply can’t receive what God/the Universe has for you if you’re holding on to whats OLD. Sometimes that means friends, family, soulmates, jobs, houses, & opportunities. If it isn’t in the vision, kill it. Period. (AND PS for my ladies: If he don’t treat you right and he doesn’t support the vision, FIND A NEW 🥷🏾. Yes I know, you like the 🍆… but they all literally have one of those 🤣🤣. Go ride another one that supports the vision). 4. Fill those voids with things that look similar to your vision and find support!! Wanna make $1M? Hang around someone who has $100M. Wanna designer closet? Befriend stylists/people who work in fashion. Wanna become top sales in your department? Partner with a kind OG who’s been top in sales for the last decade. Wanna feel loved? Quadruple your family time 🤷🏾‍♀️ 5. Work your 🍑 off: Faith without works is dead. Literally, GET YA ASS UP! Chanel DOES NOT make house calls. They don’t even have sales so you know darn well they not coming to Pookie & Ray Ray apartment 🤣 6. Fruition: Become number 2 in sales in your department (behind that OG), win a contest sponsored by your Chanel rep (hey girl! 😘), and watch it fall in your lap, Gratis. Not a dollar spent. 7. Evaluate, start over, and do it all again: Clearly, I was manifesting a Chanel bag lol but little did I know that the specific store I work for doesn’t sell the bags… but I still manifested the brand I wanted, and for FREE. TRANSPARENCY POST: Social media is simply a highlight reel. It is not, I repeat, it is NOT a real place. For every highlight you see, there was a moment this year where I: 1. Cried because I was short on a bill (Then was casually invited to go Rolex shopping within the same month 🤣) 2. Got fired or quit a job due to feeling disrespected and undervalued (then got a promotion??) 3. Gained a new angel in the heavens (RIH Grana and Doc 😇💕) 4. Stood up for myself, even when it scared the hell out of me 5. Experienced infidelity first hand 🥴 (if he says he is poly, but refuses therapy, RUN sis! Those are the first signs of NPD. You are 💯% entering an abusive relationship. There’s always another man and you don’t have to stay with this one 🤷🏾‍♀️). 6. Felt like a failure for gaining 20lbs back after losing 75lbs 7. Chose to end a relationship with someone I cared about for pretending they didn’t understand my boundaries (It’s been a lot of that this year 😅😮‍💨😪) 8. Broke down in front of STRANGERS on public transit/rideshare like a complete weirdo (better out than in; mind ya mf business 🤣😬🤷🏾‍♀️) 9. Had to remind myself that my emotional safety lies only in my hands and that 16 year old Shekinah is proud of me, no matter what. 10. Cried for giving up on a goal that once meant a lot to me (then was invited to walk my first fashion show and made my first $12k in sales💅👡) Manifesting a life you love isn’t an easy task. For every win I gained, I suffered another two “losses”; for every step I took forward, I took another three blows to the chest. Don’t be fooled by your favorite influencer, your favorite eldest daughter, or your “strong” friend. Life presents us all with obstacles and areas of opportunity. The magic is in how you cope with it, how you grow from it, and how you manage your emotions afterwards. 2026, I’m not scared of you either mf. He say he miss me in his arms, but I'm good on my own... ✨ --------------------------------------- A quick update on my life the past 6 mos: 1. I've been doing a lot of self work and staring in the mirror lately. The grind to become my best and highest self is a hustle that never stops but I'm learning to have fun along the way. 2. A video of me at work... but not working 🤣 3. Body progress ft. The Guest Bedroom Mirror. I've got a ways to go but... 4. ... I've come a long way. It feels nice to be 40 lbs lighter ☺️ 5. Shopping for new plants is a new pass time 😬 ( most of them are still alive lol) 6. No explanation necessary. This is just a good shot, imo 🤷🏾‍♀️ the face is giving face though! 7. A daily reminder that balance is essential. You cannot produce works without the faith first. But faith without works... 8. And like a ghost... ✌🏾❤️ by @heyitsshaka

Literally spent most of my 2022 either singing at a show or supporting my friends at their shows, and I loved every minute. #GratefulToDoWhatILove . . . . . . Nah, but on the real though, I'm super grateful for the musical community I got to build this year. I'm not going to get too mushy (I'll save it for my birthday lol), but the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022 was difficult for me. I lost a lot and struggled internally for awhile. But I'm glad that God always knows what's best for us. What I thought would be the worst year of my life turned out to be the most fulfilling musically and for that I'm grateful.
