Stop feeling guilty for choosing yourself.

The truth is, I’ve been struggling lately. And yesterday, I decided to take myself out on a date.

Not because I had everything figured out, but because I needed a little time to slow down, breathe, and just be with myself.

Motherhood can be loud. Life gets busy, and somewhere between work, raising little humans, and trying to keep up with everything, it’s easy to lose sight of yourself.

What you see here on Instagram is only a small part of my life. I might share happy moments, laugh over text, and show up as if everything is fine, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been struggling behind the scenes.

Turning 40 has made me think a lot about how I want to live the years ahead of me.

I’m tired of feeling guilty for wanting things for myself. Tired of overthinking how others might perceive me. Tired of feeling like I need to apologize for simply being who I am.

Life is too short to spend so much of it worrying about whether we’re doing enough, being enough, or making everyone else comfortable.

I’m learning that choosing myself doesn’t mean I love my family any less. That taking a break doesn’t mean I’m being selfish. And that I don’t have to earn the right to take care of myself.

I’m still figuring things out, but I want to spend less time feeling guilty for being me and more time actually living.

If you’ve been needing a reminder, let this be it: you’re allowed to choose yourself, too 🤎

The art of documenting ✨

Some memories are too special to leave sitting in our camera roll.

Our Japan trip was filled with little moments I never want to forget — the places we wandered, the meals we shared, the laughter, and all the in-between moments that made the trip ours.
