Have you ever struggled with your body?

I know, I have.

I remember being teased as an little girl who had an body which developed earlier than most girls, I grew up with. Sometimes, I was called "Ugly" or "Fat" because of the way I looked. Once an classmate of mine, Asked me if I had "Fake boobs."

In addition to that as an teenager. The teasing continued. By 13, I had an womanly figure. My body betrayed me. I thought to myself. My breast grew more and more. My backside was enormous. My thighs were thick. I was big boned as my relatives would say. I just wanted to look my age. I just wanted to look normal. Or what society deemed normal. But I remember my Dad saying "People are always going to talk about you. If you worry about it. And listen to them. Your hair is going to turn gray."

It took years for me to not only listen to that. But understand what my Dad was saying all those years ago.

As an young adult woman, navigating her early 30’s. I love who I am becoming. I love my crooked smile. I love my short yet coarse, brown with an sprinkle of gray natural hair. I love my round face. I love my owl shaped eyes. I love my cute button nose. I love my full lips. I love my soft mocha brown complexion. “I love my casaba melon breasts!” In my Arsenio Hall’s voice. I love my cookout great Auntie’s arms. They’re strong but my hands are dainty and gentle. I love my belly. It has expanded since I was younger but so has my waistline. That’s just apart of the course of getting older. I love my wide hips, My thick thighs. I love my big ol booty. Which has never left no matter how small or big I am. I just love me. Of course, I do want to work on some things for me. Ultimately, My whole point of this post is to say, Love who you are. There is no one like you in this world. So whether you’re an size 2 or size 24. You’re Beautiful. Fearfully and Wonderfully made as God has made you.

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Nephew Kian. ☺ I can't believe our Prince is 5 years old. Man how time really flies. I am so happy to be your Auntie and to watch you grow is purely amazing. You're the ultimate blessing to everyone in your life, even down to the strangers you meet. Happy International Women's Day to my Baby Sister + my Bestfriend @neishaaa.monaeee 💗 I loved you before you were born & it's nothing I wouldn't do for you. You're the first girl I've ever LOVED. Regardless of who ever were with, You're my other soulmate. LOL. ( insider)

You could never disappoint me. You've always been my true Angel on earth in my life. I know you're not perfect. Sometimes we disagree & we may argue, But you're close to perfect in my eyes.

I love you baby girl. you're like my first daughter. Even though were almost 6 years apart. 🤣 But our bond is so unique. I remember our Mom used to make jokes that "I was the Mom, & I used to tell her " Yeah & you are the surrogate." We would laugh. But I think one of things she was proud of, was that we were close & our bond was unbreakable. I know she's no longer with us, But I think she's smiling down, knowing we have eachother.❤

Happy Birthday to my baby sis @neishaaa.monaeee I love you so much baby. Even though, you're my baby sister. I look up to you in many ways. I am so thankful to have you in my life. I definetly loved you before I knew you. Although, I'm still tight about Mom not naming you Moesha LOL. I'm glad she loved my other option Teneisha, it suits you way better. 😂 But anyhoo, I'm so glad, were sisters, because like I always say, if I don't have anyone else, I'll have an bestfriend for life. Hahaha Way back when I was 14 years old & I met @treysongz at the "We ain't done yet Holiday Jam tour." In Dec. 2005. My little butt was so freaking cheesy. This was definetly an night, I'd never forget lol. 😂😂 by @heyitstyara
