If you grew up in Ocean City, you probably knew Bob. Always walking around town with a smile, spreading kindness wherever he went. He faced challenges from an illness early in life, but he lived with the spirit of a happy kid—full of joy, humor, and heart.

His mom brought him to Ocean City for a reason, and I truly believe she knew this community would take care of him and let him thrive. As written in a write up on him: “So many people helped Bob over the years—but in truth, I think Bob helped us. He reminded us what really matters. Bob had a wonderful sense of humor and a genuine love for life’s simple joys. He truly was a gentleman, with a heart as kind and generous as they come”

Bob loved music, especially the Mummers and bands that would perform on the boardwalk all summer. You’d always see him clapping and singing along.
Bob passed away in June and so I wrote “Bob’s Town” in his honor—a song for the man who reminded us what really matters: kindness, connection, and finding joy in the simple things. Full song demo will be available next week but here’s a preview (*sound on). Let’s all sing a hymn for the man who walked around. Ocean City will always be, Bob’s Town.
