a love letter to life is strange 🦋 211 hand-drawn and edited frames of chloe price and max caulfield (pricefield) <3

this pride month, i knew i wanted to create a digital mixed media animation for life is strange because this masterpiece was the game that made me fall in love with video games as a storytelling medium.

going in, i had no idea it would have wlw elements, so that ended up being a very welcome surprise. but beyond that, it was the atmosphere, the characters, the music, and the way the story made me feel that stayed with me long after the credits rolled.

years later, it still holds a special place in my heart. this little animation is my way of saying thank you to a game that changed me for the better 🥰🫶

Six months ago, I didn’t know how to write a single line of code. Today, I'm thrilled to announce that my debut game, Frootea, is officially available on Itch for both Windows and Mac computers, ready for download and play by anyone worldwide 🥹❤️

Frootea is a text-message-based game that immerses you in the lives of LGBTQ+ Southeast Asians 🍋🍒 In this unique adventure, you play a crucial role in a group chat with three vibrant individuals: Sofia 🇵🇭 (she/her), Egg 🇻🇳 (they/them), and Seven 🇮🇩 (any pronouns). Your journey through this immersive experience mirrors the beauty and complexity of human relationships, all while celebrating the diverse LGBTQ+ identities within the Southeast Asian community 🌈

Are you ready to embark on a journey that challenges your perspectives, broadens your horizons, and allows you to be part of something truly special? The group can't wait to welcome you 🤗🫶

a love letter to kuasa gelap: perjanjian darah 🩸

film: kuasa gelap: perjanjian darah (2026)
director: @rizalmantovani
song: “m.e. - remastered 2009” by gary numan
frame count: 181 frames, digitally animated by hand

kuasa gelap holds a special place in my heart as the first catholic indonesian horror film to ever exist. having witnessed firsthand the hard work that went into this project, this franchise means even more to me 🥹🫶

this little animation is my way of celebrating a project i’m incredibly proud of and showing some love to everyone who brought it to life ♥️

happy Kuasa Gelap: Perjanjian Darah release day!!!! 🎉🎉🎉

super duper proud of everyone involved in this project ❤️ i was lucky enough to work at @paragonpictures.id during its production, so i got to witness firsthand just how much hard work and care went into bringing this film to life.

one thing i really admire about the Kuasa Gelap franchise is that it’s the first catholic indonesian horror movie / franchise. for everyone who complains that indonesian films are “gitu-gitu aja” and never take risks... i BETTER see you in the cinema watching Kuasa Gelap: Perjanjian Darah >:( support the things you want to see more of!!!

and this second film is genuinely a huge step up in scale. the first film centered on one girl in one house, but this installment expands that scope dramatically, with consequences that affect an entire village. all the more reason to watch it on the big screen!! teehee :3

also, if the trend continues, i fully expect the next Kuasa Gelap film to affect an entire province. then an entire island. then the entire country. kuasa gelap cinematic universe/world domination arc LETSGAURRRRR

fun fact: slide 2 shows me being an extra during the shooting of the movie!!! i had to borrow my mom’s clothes since i don’t own anything church appropriate #LAWL
