003 THE KNIGHT

the latest creation for my fantastical realm. this forest creature lived in my brain for the past three months, and I’m extremely excited to finally share the vision. made out of pink satin (yes I am aware other colors exist idc) and is inspired by my desire for harmonious living in nature and obsession with the feminine divine, transforming even such a masculine thing as armour.

Hi! Im a drag queen, fashion/graphic designer and a video editor. And i’ve recently ordered pink satin for my next top secret look at @lescouponsdesaintpierre , but in the meantime i’ve decided to make something quick and simple, kinda recreation of my first ever drag look, but with a silhouette and a playful petal/ shell motif. I started by taking apart an old green shirt for that pop of colour, used it for the body part of the jacket, and the swirls on the new puffier pink sleeves, reinforcing all of it with interfacing. Then i wrapped myself in food wrap and tape to make a pattern for the corset-skirt, busted my back interfacing it for 10 hours, added boning for more structure, and realised it was too short to connect to the jacket part like i initially intended. Add more swirls, make a hat, and voila, the final look.
