Ein Jahr ist seit dem 7. Oktober vergangen, dem Tag des Angriffs der Hamas auf Israel und dem Beginn des Krieges in Gaza. Ein Tag, der das Leben so vieler Menschen für immer verändert hat. In diesem „Was jetzt?“-Spezial erzählen zwei Männer ihre Geschichten, die auf unterschiedliche Weise von diesem Krieg geprägt wurden. Yoni Ashers Frau und Töchter wurden am 7. Oktober von der Hamas aus einem Kibbuz entführt. Ibrahim Elhout musste mit seiner Frau und seinem kleinen Baby vor den israelischen Bomben auf Gaza fliehen, zuerst ins Nuseirat-Lager, dann nach Rafah und schließlich nach Kairo. Die beiden berichten von einem Jahr der Angst, des Überlebens und des Strebens nach Normalität. @zeit

A year has passed since October 7, the day Hamas attacked Israel and the war in Gaza began. A day that changed the lives of so many people forever. In this special podcast for @zeit two men tell their stories, each of whom has been affected by this war in different ways. Yoni Asher’s wife and daughters were kidnapped from an Israeli kibbutz by Hamas on October 7. Ibrahim Elhout had to flee from the Israeli bombs on Gaza with his wife and young baby, first to the Nuseirat camp, then to Rafah and finally to Cairo. They talk about a year of fear, survival and the search for normality.
