On our second day, we took the Bullet Speed Train to Zhangjiajie then explored the Tianmen Mountain.

Tianmen Mountain holds the world record for the longest underground mountain-tunnel escalator system and the Tianmen Mountain Cableway which holds the official crown as the longest passenger cableway in the world.

It was definitely a magical experience and I can’t wait to return. I recommend you also add it to your bucket list.

Does it look like somewhere you’d like to visit?

📍Bailong Elevator

Located inside the stunning Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Hunan Province, it is officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s tallest outdoor elevator.

The Bailong Elevator takes you from the canyon floor of the Suoxi Valley straight up to the top of the Yuanjiajie Mountain plateau.

Essentially, it acts as a massive vertical transit link that effortlessly carries you from the lower scenic areas of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park up into its most famous high-altitude peaks.

What do you think about it?

Tianmen Mountain (Heaven’s Gate Mountain) is a prominent peak located in Tianmen Mountain National Park in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, China 🇨🇳

It rises to an elevation of 1,518.6 meters (4,982 feet) and has attractions like a cave, a mountain cableway, cliff-hanging walkways and a mountain tunnel escalator.

It was super foggy on this day so we couldn’t see the Heavens Gate itself but it was still an amazing experience 💕

Is this somewhere you’d like to visit?

📍Tianmen Mountain Escalator, China 🇨🇳

We took an escalator built right through the Tianmen mountain. At approximately 897 metres long, it takes about 20 mins from the bottom to the top so as Nigerians we had to entertain ourselves and others 🤭
