Investment Planning || Collaborating with @cagolden and her talented team always produces meaningful work. This project gives a new brand to Anderman Wealth Partners, a firm who believes that creativity, culture, innovation, and inspiration are all around us—waiting to be discovered. I created a mark for them that fashions their initials into a sextant, a navigational instrument that calculates angular measurements between two points…to locate one’s position in the world and the desired destination beyond the journey. Happiest Hours || The Equity Union adds to and multiplies their reach by inviting other small businesses into the fold that embody strengths not already offered by @equitybrewingco alone. @sgrillot and @hkgrillot envisioned a concept where even when it’s not happy hour, you can always walk through their doors and find just what you need—a plate of pasta, a yoga stretch, a beautiful dessert, an inspiring book, or a new friend. Pairing these two brands together under the same umbrella takes a level of intentionality that comes naturally to these two. @equitybrewingco is about way more than beer—we know this just by their name. But did you know their reach also includes delicious treats from their kitchen? Game day charcuteries, yummy pastries, and my personal favorite, the flatbread pizzas—the list goes on! They partner with other small businesses to further their mission into their community (+ and x), and since they share a city with another famous Union, the name just fits. by @heysprad

All Connected || If you don’t know by now (and by my grid), I love when things connect 🥰. The director of iKids @spradmomma is a natural at fostering meaningful connections with grade school kids, and since the hallways of her department meander into one another, I knew we could create designs that matched up at each corner in a flow that felt just as effortless as her kid-friendly spirit. Each twisty turn offers a new focal point, and she wanted to utilize these centerpieces to reengage viewers with the design…through an inviting message, gamification, photo ops, or even a giant high five! Hues poppin’! || Some swirly colorful splashes of fun comin’ in bright! This 2000 square foot meandering mural complete with two winding staircases stretched through hallways normally filled with kiddos running like crazy to their next activity with iKids. Details details || You’ve prolly heard “logo ≠ brand,” but there are LOTS of ways to go from a single logo to a full visual brand. Of course a brand is far more than just the visuals, but translating a feeling into design is my specific department. With this project, I utilized pieces of the original logo to create various patterns, brushes, and badges (including this sunny lil guy). Along with a robust typography set, numerous orientations, and a color palette that includes branded neutrals, these elements create brand recognition that extends further and more creatively than simply using the same logo orientation in all situations. by @heysprad

Lifting U || So, this is what I do best: I discover the good in people and highlight that goodness by giving them a mark as unique and meaningful as they are. When you hire me for a logo, you’re gonna get a good looking mark. However, aesthetic alone is a missed opportunity for rich depth in a brand. When you work with me, you’ll receive clever, symbolic meaning in your insignia and conversation-sparking answers to the question of “why did you do THAT with your logo?”. I dive into research of your name’s etymology, the history of your product, and much more to uncover stories that make your brand sing. For this project, the story of beer led me all the way to the field of medicine where women became trail-blazing healers and entrepreneurs from their kitchens. The jealousy and fear of their success with their bubbly elixirs as well as their intelligence in other fields actually led to the witch hunts in America. Beer has a story characterized by the ingenuity of women, the oppressive reaction and suppression of their gifts, and the enduring hospitality and generosity they showed to their neighborhoods. This story fit so well with the mission and vision of @equitybrewingco , @sgrillot branded not only her company but also her arm which is one of the most meaningful moments in my career so far! I also got to work with the brilliant @kerrishadid who composed the verbal branding of Equity. “Lifting You Up” became the beautiful tagline for these brewsters, and I wove it into the logotype by literally lifting the “U.” There are countless other details hidden in this brand, so if you’re curious—ask me more! by @heysprad

Equity Brewing || I put my soul into this project. @sgrillot , the mastermind behind @equitybrewingco , is a fierce goal-chaser (and achiever) who has inspired me over and over to do the same. She creates countless opportunities for other people’s dreams to come true and fights hard for equity in her community. And look, I haven’t even spoken about the beer yet, and that—she does differently than anyone else. Super creative flavors coming out all the time that are made specifically for people new to beer. Go follow @equitybrewingco .
