Real talk: I’m not a therapist. I’m not an influencer. I’m just a guy trying to do some good. Here’s something important: I make this content because I need it too. Every reminder that I’m not alone. Every post about it being okay to struggle. Every message that I matter, I need to hear that just as much as you do.I’m not above the struggle. I’m right in it with you. This is a space where men can be honest about what they’re going through. Where it’s okay to struggle. Where you’re not alone. When this page went viral, I felt like a fraud. “Who am I to talk about mental health? I’m not qualified. I’m not a professional.”Then I realized: I’m not trying to be an expert. I’m not trying to replace therapists. I’m just trying to help men, including myself, feel less alone. My 2026 goal is to build bridges between this community and real professionals. Mental health experts. Therapists. Suicide prevention organizations like Stay Here (which gets 10% of every sale). Crisis resources.I’m not the expert. But I can connect you to the people who are.We can’t fix you. We’re not supposed to. But Hey There Fella can:- Remind you (and me) we’re not alone- Show you examples of good men worth looking up to- Point us to real help when we need it- Build a community where men support men- Keep showing upThat’s my job. That’s the mission. If you’re here for professional advice, I’m not your guy. If you’re here for influencer content, that’s not what this is.But if you’re here for honest conversation, reminders of who you can become, examples of men who set the standard, and a community that actually cares, welcome. I’m glad you’re here. I need you here as much as you might need this space. by @heytherefella_official

The most powerful thing you can do is pause before you react. Someone cuts you off in traffic. A stranger picks a fight in the comments. And something in you wants to fire back immediately. That split-second reaction has cost men friendships, marriages, jobs, their reputation, sometimes a lot more. One moment. One reaction. Damage that takes years to undo. Here’s what the Stoics knew 2,000 years ago: you don’t control what happens to you. You control what you do next. And between the two, there’s a space. That space is where your power lives. So build the pause. Traffic? Breathe, let it go you’ll never see them again. Comments? Walk away no one ever won an argument with a stranger online. An argument at home? Count to ten before you say the thing you can’t take back. The pause isn’t weakness. Any man can react it takes nothing. It takes a stronger man to feel the heat rise and choose not to act on it. Control isn’t about controlling others. It starts with controlling yourself. The next time something sets you off , pause. Breathe. Put some space between what happened and what you do about it. That space is where the man you want to be makes his choice. Keep going, fella. by @heytherefella_official

Even the bear hibernates. The grind never told you that.Somewhere along the way, we got sold a hustle. “Rise and grind.” “Sleep when you’re dead.” “No days off.” We turned exhaustion into a personality and called it ambition. The grind promises that if you just never stop, never rest, never slow down, never take the foot off the gas, you’ll finally arrive. But there’s no arriving. There’s always another goal, another level, another guy grinding harder. The finish line moves every time you get close. That’s the con.Look at nature. It never got the memo. The bear hibernates. The field lies fallow. The tree goes bare and waits for spring. Nothing in nature grinds itself into the ground, it works, then it rests, then it works again. And you’re part of nature too, no matter what the hustle-bros tell you.Rest isn’t falling behind. It’s how you stay in the game long enough to actually win it. It’s the pause that lets the muscle grow back stronger. The sleep that clears your head. The day off that reminds you why you’re doing any of it.Rest isn’t the opposite of the work. It’s part of the work.So opt out of the grind, fella. Not because you’re lazy, because you’re smart enough to see the scam. The men who burn brightest and burn out fast aren’t the ones still standing at the finish. The ones who pace themselves are. by @heytherefella_official

Life is like a train. People get on, people get off, and not everyone is meant to ride the whole way with you. Some people ride for a few stops. A season. A chapter. A hard stretch when you needed them. Then their stop comes, and they step off. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t real. It just means it wasn’t forever. We treat every goodbye like a failure. Like we did something wrong, like we should’ve held on tighter. But some people come into your life to teach you something, to get you through one part of the journey, and then they’re gone. That’s not a failure. That’s just the ride. Some who get off early stay with you anyway. A friend you lost touch with. Someone who passed. A love that didn’t last. They may be gone from the train, but they changed who you are for the rest of the trip. That counts. That lasts. And then there are the few, the ones who stay the whole way. Through the detours. Through the stretches where you weren’t easy to ride with. Those people are rare. Hold onto them. Tell them what they mean to you. Here’s the part nobody likes: you don’t get to choose who stays. People have their own destinations. Trying to keep someone on a train they’re meant to leave only hurts you both.So let people ride as long as they’re meant to. Be grateful for the stops you shared. Wish them well when they step off. And keep making room for the ones still waiting to get on.The ride isn’t over, fella. Keep going.#HeyThereFella by @heytherefella_official

On Monday USA’s World Cup run ended. 4-1 to Belgium, on home soil, in front of 66,000 in Seattle. It stings. For the players, for the fans, for a country that hoped this might finally be the year. But let’s not lose the bigger picture. This team went further than a lot of us expected. Three wins in a single World Cup, the most a U.S. men’s squad has ever managed. A knockout-round victory for the first time since 2002. Stadiums packed to the rafters, tens of millions watching at home, and a whole new generation of kids who just watched these guys wear the badge and thought: that could be me.You don’t measure a run like that by the game it ended on.And watch what happens now. Not the highlights, the handshakes. Because winning is easy to do well. The real test of a man is the walk off the field when the scoreboard didn’t go your way. Do you make excuses, or own it? Do you look for someone to blame, or shake the other guy’s hand and mean it? Do you let one loss curdle into bitterness, or let it sharpen you for what’s next? That’s not just a soccer lesson. It’s a life one. You’re going to lose sometimes. Get passed over. Come up short after giving everything you had. It happens to the best of them, on the biggest stage, and on ordinary Tuesdays nobody’s watching. The loss doesn’t define you. How you carry yourself afterward does.Proud of this team. Heads up, fellas. Onto the next.#USA #WorldCup2026 by @heytherefella_official

I don’t know much. But I know it always gets better.Whatever you’re carrying right now, it feels like it’ll last forever. It won’t. Pain lies about how long it’s staying.Think back. The thing that was going to break you last year? You can barely remember it now. You got through it. You’ll get through this too.I’m not going to tell you it’s easy. Some seasons are brutal. Some days you’ll just be surviving, and that counts. Surviving is enough on the days it’s all you’ve got.But nothing stays. Not the good, not the bad. The storm you’re in is already moving, even when you can’t feel it shifting. So here’s the ask: stay. Just get through today. Then tomorrow. You don’t have to see the whole way out. You just have to not quit before it turns. It always gets better.—If you’re struggling right now, you don’t have to do it alone:988 (call or text) — Suicide & Crisis LifelineText HELLO to 741741 — Crisis Text Line by @heytherefella_official
