Nobody beats @saveyourbees4life’s wave. I’m a happy camper. The weather was dang near perfect today. So many unexpected visitors. Thank you to all of the incredible vendors who made this one of my favorite lil markets at @bigashbrewing. I did not capture everyone / all of the magic that took place (@jesyshomesteadbakery always had customers “in the way” every time I went to shoot their booth lol) but if you were there, you know. 💕 My cup is full! by @heyunclekate

This screaming angel (me) is entering her 40th year. Another Happy Birthday to me! I’ve spared y’all many “save the dates” over the years as I blast off into 40 with no marriage, no children, and no extreme baggage! With that I am shameless (and graciously) accepting all of the love (by way of words of affirmation and monetary contributions)! There has been a phenomenal shift over the past year as I’ve grown into myself, purchased my first home, severed ties, and built new bonds. Young Kate is always at the forefront of my mind with how to choose to live my life, and I think she would be absolutely awe-stricken by the woman I’ve become today. Shout out to everyone who got me here! 2026 is about ROOTS. Building, growing, expanding. My community, my home, my spirit. Life is good and I expect it to keep gettin’ gooder. The Big Ash Market No. 2! ✌🏻 A beautiful day! A phenomenal turnout! Incredible vendors! Exclamation points! Thank you to @bigashbrewing for sharing their parking lot with 27 local vendors this afternoon! 🍻I will speak for myself and say that it was an absolute blast. A huge shout out to @ruzannaroz and @erin_fitzgerald86 for helping me get set up this morning. I COULD have done it without you but would have cried the whole time. (; Shout out to @rae.fulle.r’a butt cameo. 🍑 Shout out to my mom, the @thelitascincinnati, @alaynew, and a whole gaggle of pals who came out to support. My heart is full. I’m definitely in my season of cultivating meaningful relationships with bad ass women and I am la la loving it. When I first began selling blind dates with used books, it was anything goes. I wrapped up countless copies of Twilight and Harry Potter. I sold plenty of B-list novels and battered copies of Eat, Pray, Love. I even sold a 1989 edition of How to Shit in the Woods (wish I kept that one). Over seven years later, I am a lot more particular about the titles I choose to turn into dates. One of my favorite things (still) is finding fun “bookmarks” in the pages. Sometimes I keep them in the book so the buyer has a fun treat. Other times I keep them for myself. I had planned on doing a whole photo series of Found Objects between the pages, but come to think of it I think I threw it all away during a move. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ by @heyunclekate
