Well, it’s officially been a year since I returned from my 2 year mission in Brasil 🥲. Over the past year, I’ve had ample time to reflect on my mission and what it meant to me. I was never a perfect missionary, but I did learn that the most important thing about my service was that it wasn’t for me. I learned so much and grew so much, but it only mattered whenever my thoughts and actions were focused on Jesus Christ. None of the baptisms I watched were “mine” none of the teachings were “mine” they were all in the effort to bring Children of God closer to Christ and I will be eternally grateful for the patience Heavenly Father had for me on my mission and in this year since I’ve returned. I haven’t gone a day since being home without thinking about my mission or without applying some lesson I learned and I hope I never do. The mission brings more lessons than just ones related to the gospel as it has helped me realize the kind of man I need to be for my lovely girlfriend ☺️. The lessons I learned will also prepare me one day to be a father and husband ready to focus my family on the Lord and nothing will ever replace the value that has in my life. To all of you who haven’t yet served a mission, consider it! Pray to know if it is what the Lord wants from you. Seek for a reason to serve wherever you may be, because whenever we are in the service of our fellow man, we are in the service of our God. And, to those of you who HAVE served, reflect on how it changed your life, and resolve to never forget it. I’d like to bare my testimony, eu sei que Jesus Cristo vive, ele se-sacrificou pra preparar o nosso retorno pro Reino Celestial, o Plano de Salvação foi feito por Deus pra segurar um lugar por todos os seus filhos no reino Dele. O único caminho de volta, é por meio de Fé em Jesus Cristo e na sua expiação, e só depois de arrependimento pra ser Batizado e receber o Espírito Santo com o resolvo pra perseverar até o fim. Quando nós como seres humanos procurarmos a fazer o bem e seguir os mandamentos, encontraremos felicidade por meio da caridade. This Monday marked 6 months since I’ve returned from the best experience of my life. I recently had the opportunity to start working in the Temple, and as I’ve served with a white tag, it has brought me back to the feeling of being a missionary again. I believe that the best way to show my love for God is through service. It shows him how much I care, but more importantly, it brings others closer to Christ. These past 6 months have passed by in the blink of an eye, but everyday, I’ve thought back on my mission in Brasil. It has forever changed me and brought me to an understanding that Jesus Christ is my personal savior. He loves me. He loves you. And he wants us all to know. NOLA PT.2 From Pilots, to Captains, to Catholic Bishops, anytime I got a chance to take a selfie with someone important, I took it. I am so thankful that I was chosen to be a part of Utah’s All State! It was such a blessing to sing with so many beautiful voices under the direction of Doctor Yu. I will never forget the friends I made or the experiences I was able to have over the past couple days as we practiced diligently to be ready to perform, and I won’t forget the musical lessons I was taught by being given this opportunity. While I visited New York for my choir tour, I was able to see The Statue of Liberty, The World Trade Center, The Brooklyn Bridge, The Largest Cathedral in the World, and of course, the Soup Nazi Kitchen from Seinfeld. Not only did I get to see both, Wicked and Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, but I also got ride a subway😱(yes, I saw subway rats). I had the experience of a lifetime, and other than thinking I got pick pocketed, I was really happy the whole time. Now, I plan on sleeping for five days because I got no sleep whilst on the trip. PROM 2022 🥳🥳!! It was a blast, it was a party, and it was cold 🥶. Whenever I wasn’t partying it up with my wonderful date, @nutmeg_705 , I was shivering in the beautiful snowy scenery of Salt Lake City. I can’t imagine Prom with anyone else, and I can’t wait for you guys to see the last two slides where Megan and I mimic her Mom at Prom 1997. Whilst my time in Missouri was short, it was fun. I laughed, I cried, . . . I drove a jet ski 🤷‍♂️. And of course! I carried on the friendship legacy my brother started all those years ago. But in the end my biggest takeaway was that no matter where you go you gotta have a bussin time 😌 because you never know when you won’t be there to be bussin with your friends. by @heyy.joseph
