"You will be greatly missed" doesn't even begin to cover the grief that I'm feeling, Gaita. TBH I'm so fucking mad at you for leaving me. We still had a bestie spa date planned pa. We were really excited at the prospect of you moving to the south cause that meant you'd be closer to me, and I can come visit you more frequently. You were like, "I can finally give you a key to my apt." And I know you were anxious about that HK work trip but I also felt like you were really looking forward to it. Sabi ko pa nga I'll fly too if you had extra leisure time. Pero ngayon, none of those will materialize cause you're gone.

Sabi sayo mabait ka eh, kasi otherwise why would God take you so early from me and your loved ones? Ang lungkot lang.

Nalulungkot man ako pero wala eh, anong gagawin ko? But still, I thank the universe for the privilege of meeting you. Masaya ako na ikaw ang itinabi sakin to help navigate my 3rd year in high school. Thank you, Gaita, for blessing my life with your friendship. For 20 years, you've kept my secrets, listened to my (mostly boy) troubles, and you were always there, just trying to talk some sense dito sa consistently marupok mong bestie. Thank you for welcoming me into your family. It was like I gained another sister in the form of a short, feisty little thing, who was ready to fight anyone who have wronged me, but also loves anyone I love, too.

@patstiamo always said that you're lucky to have me as a friend, but honestly, I contest this, because it was me who was lucky to have someone like you in my corner.

as they say, "kapag biglaan, natutuloy" and what started as a joke turned into something real, real quick!

#throwback to just a couple of weeks ago when the peralta sibs were complete and managed to sneak in a quick R&R (if you could even call it that?!)...it’s been a while since we’ve all been together like this but okay lang kahit next year na ulit tayo magkita-kita hahaha

part 4 of the #onthisday series 🇪🇺✨

from Milan to the Swiss Alps real quick, just in time for a snowy Easter back in 2024--a stark contrast to the PH's full 🔥 mode atm.

we took a scenic train ride to Grindelwald via Interlaken and i swear, watching the trees and lakes through the window felt like a TV scene coming to life.

when we got there, weather wasn’t exactly on our side…the blizzards had most cable cars shut down, but we still got lucky with visits to Lauterbrunnen and Mürren, and honestly, that alone felt magical.

the next day, we made it to First…but not without a little panic. cable cars literally stopped mid-ride because of the blizzard. slight kaba but they resumed (thankfully), and we made it back down in one piece lol

this whole trip felt like stepping back in my childhood, as in snowy days in Chicago kind of nostalgia. playing in the snow again didn’t feel real 🥹

part 3 of the #onthisday series 🇪🇺✨

two cities, one day kind of chaos 💀

started off in Pisa to finally confirm what we’ve all been wondering…yes, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is actually leaning 😂

then off to Milan where we did a full tour of the Duomo di Milano all the way up to the terrazza. as someone who’s lowkey scared of heights, i really had to power through but the view? 100% worth it. the cathedral itself is an absolute architectural masterpiece as in grabe, breathtaking in every angle.

also made a stop at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery Milan and i was so fascinated seeing the whole process--from raw beans to an actual cup!

safe to say that we made most of the day despite having less than 24 hours here before heading somewhere colder for Easter…but that’s for the next entry 👀❄️

part 2 of the #onthisday series 🇪🇺✨

this time: Rome ft. the Vatican City during Holy Week two years ago...feels extra timely with Holy Week just around the corner again.

we kept hearing all the pickpocket warnings before coming here, but somehow got lucky. we visited on Good Friday when the Pope was set to go around the city, so there were sooo many polizia everywhere that made us feel a little more at ease the whole day.

the only catch? there was a cut-off at Saint Peter's Basilica because of the procession, so sadly, no entry for us 🥲 but I guess that just means we have a reason to come back.

silver lining: we unknowingly unlocked our highest step count ever…30k+ steps in 10-12 (or more) hours because of all the detours which was absolutely insane. would highly recommend (lol no not really)

guess we're really doing this now...up next on the series is a couple more cities in italia, any guesses where?

back in MNL after a quick weekend off the grid and wow, it’s gotten hotter 🫠 makes it worse knowing that on this exact day two years ago, i was layering up in 10-12°C weather in prague. anyway, here are some long-overdue snaps from that trip ❄️ 🇨🇿

Leveled up tadaaayyyy and it got me reminiscing how good life has been this year 🥺 nauna na yung gift ko sa sarili ko last April: a solo trip to Vienna!

I stayed there for a couple of days, and it simply was not enough time to explore the city. Halos naubos isang araw sa Schonbrunn Palace pa lang! And it was so memorable because as I listened to the audiotapes explaining the various quarters of this imperial summer home, I was reminded how much of a world history geek I am. #Hapsburgs #MarieAntoinette #KingLouisXVI hahaha

Also, hirap na hirap ako mag photo by myself cause of the wind, hindi kinaya ng trusty tripod ko 😆 kaya most of my photos were of the sites I visited like Belvedere Palace, St. Stephen's Cathedral, landmarks in Karntner Strasse, and the Austrian Parliament, among others. Pero ang saya pa din cause it's been a while since I traveled by myself.

Lovely Autumn in Seoul 🍂

The colors were impossibly vivid this season, it almost made me wish time would slow down. We had less than 24 hours to explore but I’m grateful we got to experience the city even for just a hot minute.

Almost said no to this work trip because it fell on my birthday week, but thank you past me for saying yes.

Exploring Jeju and Seoul for the first time ever (during autumn, my favorite szn!), creating content with Sun Lifers, and forming friendships I didnt see coming...man what an experience. It’s been over a week since my birthday, but IG-wise, I’m still on day 2 of this trip lolol (I will try to habol pramis).

I definitely don’t feel 35...25 feels like it just happened last year tbh. So kung ang average lifespan ng mga filos ay 70, beke nemen pwede ko na i-soft launch ang midlife crisis era ko? Chz 😆
