H&F Giving commissioned research organisation Rocket Science to produce a report to better understand areas of need within our local Hammersmith and Fulham community. Click the link in our bio to access the report.

The report presents a comprehensive overview of the challenges facing our community. These include income and debt, basic living needs, community cohesion, health and wellbeing, education and employment, digital inclusion and other problems including lack of access to arts & culture, violence and abuse and climate change.

The full picture will enable us to work with our charity partners to provide long-term cost-effective solutions to the problems our neighbours are facing.

Thank you to @citybridgefoundation for funding this report and to everyone who took part in our community consultations, or provided evidence to help us better understand local needs.

Hammersmith and Fulham Council, in partnership with H&F Giving, is delighted to launch the H&F Community Support & Resilience Fund 2026/27, awarding grants to local community and voluntary organisations supporting residents experiencing financial hardship and material deprivation. The fund has been developed to strengthen community-based coordination and early intervention support.

The fund will combine practical help for people facing immediate need with preventative activity that helps residents access essentials, improve financial resilience, reduce the likelihood of repeat crisis, and connect with wider support.

The £225,000 fund is being administered by H&F Giving behalf of H&F Council, supported by the Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) 2026-29.
Organisations are invited to apply for grants of up to £20,000.

Applications are now open until Wednesday 28 October 2026.

We will be running an in-person information session on Tuesday 13 October, and an online session on Wednesday 14 October.

We were delighted to fund Women Aid and Empowerment as part of the Winter Support Fund 2025/26, in partnership with @hfcouncil

With the grant, Women Aid and Empowerment were able to organise large community meals and distribute food vouchers, helping to foster community cohesion and improve access to nutritious food for those in need.

This year, H&F Giving delivered the Old Oak Community Engagement and Connector Project in partnership with Peabody Community Foundation, joined by SORTIE CIC, LBHF Family Champions and SOBUS.

The project was designed to better understand lived experience in Old Oak, strengthen relationships across the local community ecosystem, identify gaps in provision, and gather learning that can help shape what happens next.

We’re pleased to announce that the full report from this project is now available to read on our website.

The opportunity now is to work collectively.
We are inviting funders, councillors, housing providers, developers, public sector partners, businesses and community organisations to build on this learning and take action with us.

Through our Digital Support Fund 2025, @solidaritysports have been able to purchase refurbished tablets for their Champions Club - meaning every child can now work on their own device and complete homework on time. 📱✨

For many of the children who attend, this closes a real gap: they don't have access to a laptop or computer at home.

Community panellists will receive a payment or honorarium for taking part in the process. We will offer flexible payment options where possible to support participation.
We are a London Living Wage employer, so panellists can expect to be paid a minimum of £14.80 an hour for their work (as of June 2026). We will also support reasonable expenses, including travel, childcare, caring responsibilities and access needs.
