The Pigmentary Disorders Exchange Symposium was a wonderful and informative meeting highlighting advances in pigmentary disorders.

Dr. Iltefat Hamzavi presented an engaging lecture on pharmacologic approaches to vitiligo, sharing valuable insights into current and emerging treatment strategies.

We are also proud of Funmi, one of our dermatology residents, and Rebecca, our research fellow and incoming resident, who both presented posters at the symposium, contributing to important conversations in pigmentary disorders. taken in Chicago, Illinois by @hfhdermres

Today, we proudly celebrate the launch of our dedicated Pediatric Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) Clinic at Henry Ford Dermatology.

Led by Dr. Matarneh, Dr. Zarbo, and Dr. Shwayder, this clinic reflects our Pediatric Dermatology team’s commitment to providing specialized, compassionate, and comprehensive care for children and adolescents living with HS.

We are excited to expand access to focused HS care for our pediatric patients and their families. by @hfhdermres

We had the pleasure of hosting world-renowned laser and dermatologic surgery expert Dr. Omar A. Ibrahimi, MD, PhD, Medical Director of the Connecticut Skin Institute and President of the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery.

Dr. Ibrahimi shared his expertise on emerging technologies, including micro-coring, future directions for this device, and the medical applications of laser treatments for conditions such as acne.

His visit was incredibly educational and enriching for our residents and faculty. Thank you, Dr. Ibrahimi, for spending your time with us! @ctskindoc by @hfhdermres

From Detroit to Colombia 🌎

Through the Henry Ford Dermatology Global Health Elective, led by Dr. Allison Zarbo, our residents have the opportunity to broaden their clinical perspective, engage with diverse patient populations, and deepen their understanding of dermatology in a global context.
