What is Trans Prom?:
Trans Prom is a 19+ dancing event for trans folks and their close ones happening on Tuesday, July 28th from 7pm to close!

We'll have incredible tunes, dancing, and prizes for Prom Royalty (the couple voted best dressed) and Prom Nobility (the two single people voted best dressed)!

Music will include modern pop, drum and bass, some club classics, and slow dance songs for the romantically inclined.

This is a 19+ event for all gender-diverse people and their close ones (i.e. cis queer/hetero partner or close pro-trans friend).

Please share this as much as possible so everyone can come to the perfect event to cap off Halifax Pride 2026!

From @queercreativesspace:
Queer Creatives Space is excited to be hosting The MASKed Ball, a COVID-conscious dance, on July 24th from 7pm to 11pm. This dance will take place at 2482 Maynard Street Kjipuktuk/ Halifax, out of Wonder’neath’s project room. This event will be a Pay What You Can admission fee, with no one turned away because of lack of funds. Any donations will go towards resuming Queer Creatives Space’s Arts Programming for 2SLGBTQIA+ folks. Please share this event widely.

Detailed access notes are in progress and will be posted tomorrow. In short, though, this is an all-ages, dry event. This event is masks required, with an encouragement of KN95/ N95 masks. Medical-grade/ 3 ply masks will be accepted, though. If you can’t mask for accessibility reasons, you will still be allowed to attend the event, but please let the organizers know. Masks will be provided.

Online tickets will go live tomorrow and will be linked in @queercreativesspace bio.

This event was awarded $500 from Halifax Pride to help cover event costs. Thanks to the Clean Air Library, we will have two air purifiers for our event.

Eyelevel’s Mask Bank has donated a bunch of earloop KN95 masks plus lent us use of their CO2 monitor. Youth Project curated the event’s playlist. Lastly, Wonder’neath has provided the space and speakers for this event.

Hope to see you all there!

Join us at this month’s Trans Femme Social Club!

Date & Time: Thursday, July 23rd from 6pm-8pm
Location: Glitter Bean

Trans Femme Social Club will be held this upcoming Thursday, July 23rd instead of the expected July 30th. We will be gathering at Glitter Bean Cafe (5896 Spring Garden Rd) from 6pm-8pm. This program is intended as a space for people who identify as being trans-feminine or as a trans woman. If you feel like this space is for you, then please feel free to join us. Please note that this program is for ages 18-30. While together, we will be watching KPop Demon Hunters!

Glitter Bean cafe will still be open and selling beverages and snacks from their menu to attendees. Drip coffee & tea will be covered by the Youth Project.

Access Notes: Masks are required! Please be advised that Glitter Bean has two entrances. The front entrance requires stairs to get in. There is a ramp right next to the front entrance that leads to the 2nd entrance, which doesn’t have an automatic door opening button, but has a doorbell you can ring if you need assistance. Glitter Bean does have an accessible washroom on the main floor, however they do not have an automatic door or sink. The bathroom is also equipped with a grab bar and a sharps container.

Image Description: A poster for a “transfemme social club” event through The Youth Project. In a hot pink bedroom decorated with draping curtains and frilly lamps, 5 transfemmes gather in front of a TV to watch a movie together. Wearing pajamas, they do each other’s hair and makeup under the glow of the TV. On the table, they’re equipped with a stack of DVDs, bottles of nail polish, and a big striped bowl of popcorn. Behind the TV, location info reads “Glitter Bean, Last Thursday Monthly, 6-8:00pm”. by @hfx.trans.events
