New WIP series of vases inspired by my visit to the Noguchi Museum and the work of Toshiko Takaezu. Specifically, her nearly closed form openings. taken in Queens, New York by @hhceramics

This tile mural is inspired by my late grandma and the ranch that she grew up on, and was eventually buried in.

This was a passion project that took many trials/tests to achieve. I wanted a blue and white pallet, and a piece that would define the room. I learned a lot about tile building and how to establish consistency/uniformity. Ready to implement lessons learned for the next one.

Played around with texture on this vase using @maycocolors light magma glaze. I tried adding thicker applications around the bevels to elongate/accentuate them. taken in Queens, New York by @hhceramics
