Diamond ring through clouds.
I can't describe it. Photos don't do it justice. It's an otherworldly experience. This one felt so close. A blazing ring of fire with all the neon pink solar prominences easily visible to the naked eye, even through lingering clouds. It felt like it was just right there. by @hi_ninx

Unedited photo. I have been enjoying the snow and sky so much this winter. I parked on the road and stood in the road to take this photo with my very amateur skills. I'm actually surprised by how well my entry level camera did. #canonusa I don't know if I'll ever see the likes of this again. I've certainly never seen a glory so massive and magnificent and brilliant before. I got to experience this one with my mom.💖 I don't know how long it had been happening before we arrived, but it was cast onto the far mountains until sunset. Absolute magic.

I never knew how much I could miss tired feet and sore muscles until I couldn't walk. All day long I dream about hiking again.
# Hiking out from a 12 mile day on this iconic mountain. 2,763 feet of elevation gain. I dreamt of this mountain for years before finally climbing it. The satisfaction was immense. by @hi_ninx

I really needed a break from the hospital, and a chance to see my family. If there could be a good time to have a broken fibula, now is that time. I am spending several weeks finally being able to visit my family, and dreaming of spring flowers, being able to walk again, and the end of this horrible pandemic.

Tomorrow, it will be January. That means in three months, barring the unforeseen (or perhaps at this point, the inevitable), there will be flowers. Flowers are my favorite time of year. by @hi_ninx
