This gorgeous client wanted to get ready for a mother's day event at her church. I coordinated with her - asked her about her wardrobe, reference pictures for the kind of look she wanted. She wanted a hint of coral on her eyes. And one of her main concerns was she didn't want to look fair.

When I was done, she was so excited to take a look at the mirror and gasped. She exclaimed that she was so happy that I didn't make her white. She repeated herself and said that she loved her complexion and sometimes artists paint her fair and she ends up looking like someone else. She was ecstatic I matched her skin tone.

I was happy she was happy!

There's always an "everyday go to" makeup everyone is wearing even me. And this idea made me think of an "every night" one - one that I would wear to every event happening in the evening or at night this fall.

I think the only thing I'd ever change to switch things up (while attending the events) would be the lip but not even that. It's a solid A++ look.

Family weddings are a wonderful experience but they are exhausting especially for the people running the show which includes the mother in laws.

I had this beautiful mother of the groom in my seat and I could tell she was tired. She said she hasn't eaten properly cause of the commotion, people coming and going and staying in between.

So while I was doing her makeup I asked her to drink water to freshen herself and then offered her to eat something. She did slowly and slowly and started to feel better. I even told her she could sit in a comfortable position on the chair and I'll adjust.

Here's what I do when I want to wear a tinted lip balm...

I never skip skincare (mine or clients) no matter what; well prepped skin = beautiful and lasting makeup.

You can always wear that liner even as you grow older and more beautiful. ♥️

I'll end up using that one eyeshadow for everything: brows, liner, lips and contour. It pulls the whole look together.

For certain areas of the face, I prefer to use my fingertips. Whether it's to apply an eye shadow or blend the base. The warmth from my fingers creates a seamless, dewy finish that brushes can't replicate.

I use products that perform the best which means I won't always be purchasing from luxury brands. It's the performance that matters to me the most.

Sometimes you don't need to put false lashes on. I almost never put them on and work with mascara.
