Been steady at work on new music. Next release is right around the corner. Until then, here’s what I’ve been working on to get more vocal reps in: a hick-ified cover of “Disturbia” by Rihanna. • • #hick6 #rihanna #cover #mkgee #justinbieber CG by @alex.all.access by @hick.six

Seven moments I thought were worth keeping. I’ve been wanting to document my life more, and I think I’ve spent way too much time convincing myself that my life isn’t interesting enough to document. Or that if what I make doesn’t look exactly like what I saw in my head, then maybe it isn’t worth posting. Which is probably backwards. You don’t get better at documenting your life by waiting until it feels interesting enough to pull out the camera. Life has been really full lately. Busier than ever, work is starting to shift again, I’m making more things, and I think I’m finally getting a little better at noticing my life while I’m actually living it instead of waiting for some more interesting version of it to show up. This was my first real attempt at color grading. The first clip was on my Sony, everything else was on my phone. It definitely doesn’t look exactly how I pictured it, but I tried, I learned some stuff, and now I get to do it again. I keep talking about messy reps leading to momentum, so I guess this is me actually doing one. Make the thing, turn in the homework, learn something, do it again. A lot of this also comes from @alex.all.access . She’s really good at capturing little pieces of life and actually honoring them instead of deciding they’re too normal to matter.
