🧩Stimming🧩

is a common way autistic children like Wesley find comfort and express themselves. Wesley often stims by rocking back and forth, which helps him manage overwhelming emotions and sensory input. It's his way of coping and feeling in control in a world that can often be too much. Understanding stimming helps us support and celebrate his unique way of experiencing the world.

Our hearts are full after an amazing family camping experience at Texas Lions Camp @txlionscamp 🏕️ Wesley had an absolute blast, and watching him laugh, play, and simply enjoy being a kid made every moment unforgettable.

One of the best parts? This incredible experience is completely free for eligible families, making it accessible to so many.

As an only child, it's important to us that Wesley experiences the joy of growing up with strong family connections. Cousins Camp gives him the chance to build lasting memories, strengthen those special bonds, and simply enjoy being a kid with the people who will always be part of his village. These moments are truly priceless.

@epilepsyfoundationtx Camp Spike ’n’ Wave has come and gone, and my heart is so full. 🏕️

One of the greatest gifts as a parent is witnessing your child grow in confidence and independence. This year, Wesley stepped outside of his comfort zone, tried new things, and even tackled the rock climbing wall! Watching him embrace new experiences and build friendships reminded me just how far he has come.

We are incredibly grateful to the volunteers, camp counselors, staff, medical team, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make camp such a special experience for families like ours. Your kindness, patience, and dedication create a place where children with epilepsy can thrive, belong, and make lifelong memories.

Thank you for giving Wesley and so many others a week filled with adventure, confidence, and joy. Until next year! 💜
