I’m excited to announce I’ve officially joined the @elonmsoccer staff as Director of Operations / Assistant Coach.

First and foremost, I want to thank Reevo, Jay, and Brian for the trust and the opportunity to step into this role within a program built on high standards and a winning culture. It’s a privilege to be part of a D1 staff that competes at the highest level of college soccer and demands excellence every day.

I’m excited to help this group defend its 2025 CAA Championship 🏆 and push for another NCAA Tournament appearance this fall.

If you told me back in college that I’d be on a Division I staff working under Reevo, my then college coach at Radford, I’d tell you you were lying lol.

But the world works in mysterious ways, and I’m grateful to still be in the game and in this position today.

The journey continues…🏁

As a former Division 1 soccer player and current college coach, I’ve developed a unique perspective on all aspects of the college game — from the athlete experience - to the decision making behind the scenes.

I created @hidden.eleven to educate, guide, and support young athletes through the hidden layers of the Recruitment Process & Transfer Portal. Offering guidance and support on the parts within the journey that often go unseen. From my own personal experiences navigating both those complexities alone, the goal has been simple: give athletes the knowledge to make confident, and informed decisions.

Having developed a network of players spanning across the country — from Florida to California — I’ve built strong relationships with both players and coaches at the top of NCAA DI soccer programs. This same network has succeeded in countless opportunities with placing high level players at those same Universities across the country, while continuing to grow every day.

As the brand continues to grow, I’m excited for what the future holds and the positive impact I’ll continue to make for student athletes across the country.

Select merchandise pieces 👕 are now available for Hidden Eleven athletes + friends & family.

DM me to get yours and support the next generation and beyond. 📈⚽️

1. Send the email 📧 yourself.
Not your dad. Not your mom. Not your club coach. Coaches want to hear from you. Not your club coach, or a recruiting specialist. Your name should be in the “From” field. Your recruitment is YOUR🫵 responsibility.

2. Send full-match film 🎥 .
Highlights show your best moments. Full matches show who you actually are as a player. Send the highlight reel — but be willing to send a full half or full match when a coach asks.

3. Follow up when you get ignored❌.
No response doesn’t automatically mean no. Coaches are busy. Follow up professionally. One email is an introduction. Consistent communication is what keeps you on their radar.

4. Email schools you’re not sure you’re good enough for❎.
Stop recruiting yourself. Reach out to programs that might be a stretch. You might be closer to their level than you think — and you’ll never know if you never ask.

5. Email schools below your dream level, too.
Having options matters. The goal isn’t to get one offer from your favorite school. The goal is to put yourself in a position where you can choose the right opportunity.

6. Ask coaches where you actually stand💬.
Ask: “Coach, based on what you’ve seen, am I a realistic target for your class?”
The answer might be uncomfortable. That’s exactly why you need to hear it.

7. Let coaches see your weaknesses🪫.
You don’t need to pretend you’re the finished product. Coaches recruit potential. If your left foot needs work, your speed needs improving, or you need to become more consistent — own it and get better.

8. Pick up the phone 📲 .
Email is easy. A phone call is uncomfortable. Call coaches. Have an actual conversation. Learn how to introduce yourself, ask good questions,

Because the uncomfortable part of recruiting is usually the part that separates the players who want to play college soccer from the players who actually put themselves in position to do it.

You don’t need to know everything. You just need to be willing to do what most players aren’t.

11 weird signs you’re becoming a better soccer player 👀📈

1. You start knowing where the ball is going before it gets there. You’re reading 📖 the play instead of reacting to it.

2. You take fewer touches when you have more time. You’re learning that controlling 🎮 the game doesn’t always mean doing more with the ball.

3. You see the next pass before receiving the first one. You’re starting to think one step 👣 ahead instead of reacting to what’s directly in front of you.

4. You’d rather keep the ball than force a highlight. You’re beginning to understand when the game needs patience✨ instead of another risky play.

5. You notice your positioning when you don’t have the ball. You’re realizing that where you stand 🧭 can create opportunities before you ever touch it.

6. You start recognizing patterns during games. Certain movements, passes and situations begin to look familiar because you’re reading the game at a higher level🧮.

7. You react immediately after losing possession. Your first thought isn’t frustration — it’s how quickly you can help your team win it back💥.

8. You become harder to play against without becoming more aggressive. Better timing⏳, positioning and decision-making start making you more effective.

9. You notice what good players do when nobody is watching the ball. You’re studying their movement, positioning and decisions — not just their highlights 🎥.

10. You leave training thinking about one thing you could’ve done better. You’re starting to evaluate yourself 🧠 instead of waiting for someone else to tell you what went wrong.

11. You stop needing to prove you’re the best player on the field. Your focus shifts from looking good to actually making an impact🫆.
Sometimes getting better doesn’t look like scoring more goals or pulling off better skills.

Sometimes it looks like seeing the game differently.

How many of these are starting to sound like you? 👀

OBED-GUI 🇺🇬 | 2026 HIGHLIGHTS 🎥⚽️

18 years old. A striker with the athleticism, speed, and composure to make an impact in the final third⚡️.

Explosive in behind. Dynamic in front of goal. Comfortable finishing under pressure and always looking to attack the next space.

A glimpse into what Obed-Gui brings to the pitch. 👀

The future is bright, A lot of football still to be played, and plenty more to come from this young striker. 📈
