We headed off for a little colour consultation to find out which shades actually make our skin, eyes and features pop... and it was so interesting. It'll definitely make us think differently about our wardrobe and the next shopping trip we make! PLUS for the whole month of October you can discover your own colours too at 15% OFF! Just quote HIDDENHERTS15! With lots of colour swatches, Tanya worked out our individual seasons, including: 🍂 Laura: Warm Autumn Mainly Autumn, with a little crossover into Spring. 🍁 Hayley: Deep Autumn Mainly Autumn, with some crossover into Winter. ❄️ Tanya: Winter And you can see her colours too, right at the end of the reel! We looked at everything from reds, greens and blues to neutrals and metallics, and it was fascinating to see how much difference the right shade can make. The idea isn't about putting rules around what you can and can't wear - it's about understanding which colours naturally work with you, rather than against you. ✨ The right colours can help your skin look brighter ✨ Make your eyes stand out ✨ Bring out your natural features ✨ And make shopping and putting outfits together a whole lot easier! So next time you're standing in a changing room wondering why something that looked gorgeous on the hanger doesn't quite look the same on you… it might just be the colour! 😂 👉 Head to @the.colour.connection to find out more and discover your colours. And finally, happy birthday for yesterday, Tanya! 🥂 We loved spending time with you and discovering our colours - thank you for making it so much fun! ❤️ Have you ever had a colour consultation? And do you know your season? 👇 #HiddenHearts #ColourConsultation #ColourAnalysis #PersonalStyle #WhatToWear by @hidden.herts
Could an IV vitamin boost be what you need…? We recently visited ivboost in Berkhamsted to find out what actually happens when you visit an IV wellness clinic - and there’s a lot more to it than we realised! Laura chose the Myers Cocktail, one of many IV vitamin treatments available at @ivboostuk - It combines a number of vitamins and nutrients including vitamin C, B vitamins, magnesium, calcium, zinc and glutathione, delivered through an IV infusion. We both also had our ferritin and vitamin D levels checked with a simple finger-prick test, with results available in under 15 minutes. And our results showed that we both needed a vitamin D top-up 💉 Hayley also tried red light therapy, which is a gentle, non-invasive treatment used to support skin health, collagen production and skin repair. This was our first experience of treatments like these, so talking to the team here, who were so friendly and knowledgeable, really helped put us at ease. A particular thank you to Leila, (previously a NHS midwife) - She took so much time to explain the treatments, answer all our questions and make sure we were comfortable throughout. So if you’ve ever wondered what actually happens at an IV wellness clinic - hopefully this post has been helpful! 📍 @ivboostuk_herts IV Boost, Berkhamsted High Street #Berkhamsted #Hertfordshire #BerkhamstedBusiness #HertfordshireWellness #IVTherapy by @hidden.herts
✨ Turning a little piece of our summer into something we’ll keep forever… I recently joined a silver clay jewellery workshop in Hertford and it was such a lovely experience! There were lots of natural objects to choose from like leaves, flowers, acorns and more, but I took along a little shell from a collection my girls and I found on the Isle of Wight this summer. 🐚 I ended up making 3 matching necklaces, one for each of us to treasure 🥰 The whole process was fascinating… watching the soft grey clay transform into solid silver when it was fired, then seeing it start to sparkle as I polished it up was honestly a little bit magical. ✨ I also loved discovering that Jules named her brand @irisandlolli after her own two daughters, and the first piece she ever made was for them… so making something for my girls felt rather perfect. I can completely see why Jules is so passionate about this craft and I’d definitely recommend giving @irisandlolliworkshops a go! 📍 Hertford | 3 hour workshop 🎟️ £10 off with the code: HAYLEY£10 (Book by 30th September 2026) #Hertfordshire #HertsLife #SilverClay #JewelleryWorkshop #HiddenHerts by @hidden.herts
Spend the afternoon in Ware with us… We tried the £9.90 lunch offer @onethaicafe and it was soooo good! I was so hungry I forgot to take any photos of the food, but we tried beef massaman curry 🍛 and prawn pad Thai noodles 🍤 and we highly recommend 😋 £9.90 plus a drink! 🤩 Then a quick browse at all the beautiful home ware & gifts at @lyonette_opalandiris 😍 Love a glug jug! 🐟 And it’s rude to pass @proto_artisan_bakery and not take something home… … but this pistachio and chocolate pastry didn’t actually make it home 😋😂 Then I popped in to see the new @fatmodrecordsltd shop just a short walk from the high street. If you are into records, Rob is the guy 🙌 Like a treasure trove of records 🎶 🪎 Love this little dog friendly area in the shop 🐶 £3 bargain! Any ABBA fans out there? Check out all of Rob’s upcoming local events. (Accurate illustration of Rob on the pillow there!) If you are a local artist or musician you should also stop by the shop to collaborate. Fantastic place to display your work or perform! by @hidden.herts
Ever feel like you just need to press reset? Tucked away at Battlers Green Farm in Radlett, Ojas Sauna is one of those places that instantly slows everything down. Think wood-fired sauna, invigorating cold plunges and peaceful countryside surroundings... It's the perfect escape from busy everyday life. The contrast between the heat and the ice bath leaves you feeling refreshed, recharged and surprisingly energised. 🌿🔥❄️ We're not gonna lie, the ice bath was a challenge at first! 😂 But so worth it once we got into the cycle 👍❄️ (the 'therapy ducks' also helped! 🦆) Whether you're looking to unwind, recover after a workout, or simply try something different with friends, this is a wellness experience that's well worth adding to your Hertfordshire bucket list. Have you tried contrast therapy before, or would you brave the cold plunge? 👇 📍 Ojas Sauna, Battlers Green Farm, Radlett #HiddenHerts #Hertfordshire #Radlett #OjasSauna #WellnessJourney SaunaLife ColdPlunge ContrastTherapy VisitHerts SupportLocal HiddenGem by @hidden.herts
Is this Hertfordshire’s most unique afternoon tea? 🦙🫖 Tucked away in the beautiful Tring countryside, @alpacaandunicornadventures feels like a true hidden gem 💎 We genuinely wanted to sneak an alpaca home with us after this experience! There are 9 to meet and each one has a brilliant name to match their unique personality 🦙💕 We were paired with Hercules & Hamilton and they were such good boys! The owners, Sam and Bill, made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, and their passion for their alpaca family shines through. We came away having learnt so many fascinating alpaca facts, as well as a new appreciation for just how cute, curious & lovable they are. After a fun walk through the fields with our alpacas, we tucked into our afternoon tea 😋 Everything was beautifully presented, with lots of delicious homemade treats 🍰 Save this to your Hertfordshire bucket list and tag who you’re taking for an alpaca date! 🫶 📍 Alpaca & Unicorn Adventures, Tring 🗓️ Available March–October ⏰ Around 2 hours 💷 £59.50 per person #alpacaafternoontea #alpacawalking #thingstodoinhertfordshire #alpacashertfordshire #hiddenherts by @hidden.herts

A Hertfordshire favourite has a fresh new look… and it’s officially open from today! 🤎🐂 We were invited along to the relaunch of @thebullpenradlett at @battlersgreenfarm and it was such a lovely event 🥰 It was wonderful meeting the Haworth family and hearing the story behind this much-loved local spot that’s been welcoming visitors since 1993. The refreshed interiors are beautiful, the new seasonal menu is packed with delicious dishes (we can definitely vouch for the food!😋), and there’s a real focus on celebrating everything people already love about The Bull Pen while bringing it into an exciting new chapter. If you’re looking for somewhere special for breakfast, brunch or lunch, we’d definitely recommend adding this to your Hertfordshire list!
