Construction of a covert OP

The OP was constructed 40m from the target. This is just a small 2 man hide not a hide for long duration.

Video 1: distance 35m
Video 2: distance 20m

-I’ve started with a indentation in the ground that I further hollowed out.
-then I made a frame out of stick’s that I covered with camouflage netting.
-I covered al the netting with moss and other vegetation to match the surroundings.

The hide is not watertight but then again this is just a hasty short term OP

If I made the OP a bit deeper the outline would be less prolific. Now the outline is the biggest giveaway.

Urban hide

The wasp II Z1 B is a very capable pattern from the @phantomleafofficial camo family that can be used in different environments. Even in urban terrain.

Background is always very important when setting up your hide. Here I tried to break up the plain colour of the wall with the phantom leaf pattern. On top of that I add some extra veils to break up the background even more.

Don’t just camouflage the part straight behind you. But try to cover as much as possible.

Some of my trusted ways to carry water

PLATE CARRIER:
-@qoreperformance ice flasks, so easy to use
-@source water bladders, they are strong and can open all the way on the top so they are easy to clean.

CHESTRIG:
-400 ml Nalgene, these will fit in most utility or mag pouches.
-1 liter Nalgene, the golden standard
-1 liter @platatac bottles good form factor to save space

BACKPACK/ASSAULT PACK
-2 liter water bottles
-10 liter savotta water bag, great for the camp site or grab a lot of water from the creek fast.
-hydrapack water bags, they come in all chape and size and can be combined with a filter.

*The Hydrapack water bags are a great backup water container that can be carried on any line of your gear.

*2 options I use that can carry water and filter at the same time.

-@catadyn befree 1 liter water bottle

*I don’t really like surplus water bottles. The only one I like are the British and Swiss military canteens.

Of course this list is not fixed, some containers are interchangeable between different kit. by @hidden__wanderer
