Just announced! We’re thrilled to unveil that ‪@wintergardensband and @opalmag_music will co-headline ‬Hidden Herd at @thehopeandruin on Wednesday 7th October alongside‪ @itslucydarke and @tearsatthetable‬ 🔥 Shifting between shimmering shoegaze and propulsive intensity, Winter Gardens blend the hazy textures of dream-pop with the urgency and drive of post-punk, balancing moments of introspection with bursts of raw energy. Since their inception, they have shared stages with Echo & the Bunnymen, @garynuman, @piroshkaband, @pbemusic and many more. The band have performed at @leftofthedialrotterdam, @supersonicclub in Paris and @rockawaybeachfest, and recently played in New York as part of @newcolossusfestival. They also delivered a standout set at Brighton’s @greatescapefest this year, performing to a packed @concorde2. Their latest EP was released last year to widespread praise from @bbcradio1, @bbcintroducing, @radiox, @kexp and more, including a recent BBC Introducing Live Lounge session. Now returning with the majestic ‘Adored’ and the ethereal follow-up ‘Fragile Boy’, Winter Gardens continue to push their sound into exciting new territory. Harnessing influences including Mazzy Star, The Sundays, The Breeders and The Smashing Pumpkins, Opal Mag blends hazy, atmospheric soundscapes with confessional, unfiltered lyricism. Opal Mag recently released her debut EP, ‘Goodbye Lavender’, via @vennrecords, bringing the enigmatic musician’s evocative songwriting to the fore, pairing it with the trademark hazy textures that continue to captivate her growing fanbase. Primed for a busy 2026, Opal Mag is ready to build on previous support slots alongside acts including @thekooks, @blackhoneyuk, @overpass.band and @ph0ebegreen, as well as festival appearances at @truckfestival, @greatescapefest, @d2dfest, @ritualunionbristol and @readdork’s Day Out. SELLING FAST ⚡ @__yaang_ will headline our upcoming Hidden Herd show at @thehopeandruin on Thursday 22nd October alongside @noon.garden, @clubmagicmusic and brand-new lineup addition @huarinami 🔥 Described as “one of the most exciting bands to come from the North West” in @nmemagazine’s NME 100 hype list, Manchester-based trio YAANG make a sound that resists easy categorisation, wrapping up punk, motorik, art rock and dance beats into an irresistible package. Comprised of Davey Moore (vocals/sampler), Oliver Duffy (guitar/vocals) and former @working_mens_club member Ben White (bass), YAANG have been championed by Steve Lamacq, @huwstephensdj and @empilbeam on @bbc6music, as well as @johnkennedydj on @radiox, alongside support from @diymagazine, @thelineofbestfit and Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon. The band have steadily built a reputation for their furious, high-energy live shows, where pulsating drum loops, razor-sharp guitars, huge hooks and a wicked sense of humour collide. Just announced! We’re delighted to disclose that @___kamran__khan___, @finnianjamess, @joniquesongs and @freyaeastcott will play Hidden Herd at @thehopeandruin on Thursday 5th November 🔥 You might not know the name, but Kamran Khan’s fingerprints have been leaving marks on London’s indie music scene for a decade now, best known for his work as Fake Laugh and as the vocalist of strings-infused BBC Radio 6 Music-approved outfit @pencilglobal. With Fake Laugh, Khan cultivated a devoted following with a series of critically acclaimed releases that blended dreamy melancholy with sharp pop sensibility, including the viral hit ‘Better for Me’ which has now amassed over 20 million streams. He has since performed as a touring member of @thejapanesehouse, @__flyte__ and @thelegofgrandma, co-writing Flyte’s tender standout ‘Speech Bubble’ and collaborating with Amber Bain (The Japanese House) on ‘Personally’, one of the sweetest highlights from his upcoming album. Born in Berlin to a Pakistani father and an English mother, the name Kamran Khan was, in his words, a “cultural compromise” between his Islamic and European heritage - and under his own name, his latest work searches more deeply inwards. His debut album, ‘I Came From Nowhere & Nowhere Is Where I Am Going’, reckons with formative traumas surrounding family, substance abuse, relationships and career shortcomings, boldly reframing them as bright, melodic alt-rock compositions. Championed by @thelineofbestfit and @roughtrade, Khan has already performed at London’s @villageunderground alongside @murkagedave, as well as at @d2dfest. Next up, he’ll tour the UK, including a date with @unrealaltj’s Joe Newman (@jjerome87) for @readdork’s Night Out. Her signature sound is both ethereal and alluring, drawing comparisons to renowned artists such as Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Aurora and FKA Twigs. French London-based four-piece @huarinami will play our upcoming Hidden Herd show at @thehopeandruin on Thursday 22nd October alongside @__yaang_, @noon.garden and @clubmagicmusic 🔥 Huarinami make what they describe as “lush punk” - a heady collision of playful French new wave, post-punk, garage rock and psych. As So Young Magazine puts it, their sound is “reminiscent of the playful and effortlessly cool French new-wave of the 60s, while channelling the restless energy of modern garage and psychedelic rock.” Led by Pauline Janier on flute, vocals and guitar, alongside Kevin Siou on lead guitar, the band have just released their second EP, ‘nothing happens’ - a visceral, high-energy release that pushes their sound into darker, more explosive territory. Already backed by @kexp and @diymagazine, Huarinami have also picked up support from Lauren Laverne, Emily Pilbeam, Nathan Shepherd and Stuart Maconie on @bbc6music. Their growing online audience has seen them rack up more than 40,000 streams and land on over 600 Spotify playlists. London’s @barbados99_ will now play our Hidden Herd show at @thehopeandruin TONIGHT alongside @sexmasks, @humaneband and @minordentsmusic 🔥 Formed by brothers Fin and Sam Abbo - co-founding members of exhilarating jazz-punks @opuskink - BARBADOS99 is a brand-new side project combining garage-rock guitar riffs with beach-club rhythms to create a genre-bending electro dreamscape. Rooted in Brighton but now based in London, the BARBADOS99 sound was born in a windowless Deptford bedroom - a sound they playfully describe as: “Modern Lovers sunburnt and smiling, New Order on cheap cocktails, the friendly stink of AC/DC’s first beach-bar BBQ - phat electro rock ’n’ roll you can spill a pint to.” Drawing early comparisons to @getdown_services, the duo have already shared stages with Brighton favourites including @lemonsuckr.wav at a sold-out @alphabetbrighton and @girlapocrypha.mp3 and @grimrite_ at a @blitzcatrecords night, as well as @skindizzle, @gemma_rogers_music_ and @lifel00000se.
